So used the Tesla adapter last evening to give it a try - at their 350 supercharger we were only charging at 4 miles per minute, compared to 10-12 at EVgo, ChargePoint and Electrify America. Anyone have a better experience?
42kW is all you'll get at current Tesla superchargers. You can read more about this in the other NACS charging threads. So used the Tesla adapter last evening to give it a try - at their 350 supercharger we were only charging at 4 miles per minute, compared to 10-12 at EVgo, ChargePoint and Electrify America. but then how do you get your post count up? Not like any new member will go searching anyways...Maybe we need a separate Supercharger section in the forum with a message about WHY the Air will only achieve 50kW pinned at the top. It’s probably been explained 100 times over now.
Did you fall off a turnip truck yesterday?Maybe we need a separate Supercharger section in the forum with a message about WHY the Air will only achieve 50kW pinned at the top. It’s probably been explained 100 times over now.
Thanks to NACS my reaction score has been improving noticeably lately.but then how do you get your post count up? Not like any new member will go searching anyways...
For which I am sure you are eternally GREATFUL but nonetheless DISAPPOINTED that your rocketing reaction score has not led to a windfall, or at least a Lucid jacket. Thanks to NACS my reaction score has been improving noticeably lately.
I'm hoping to redeem my improved reaction score for a free Gravity. For which I am sure you are eternally GREATFUL but nonetheless DISAPPOINTED that your rocketing reaction score has not led to a windfall, or at least a Lucid jacket.
If you get one (I'm pulling for you), you better not start bitching about the damn 1099!I'm hoping to redeem my improved reaction score for a free Gravity.
Thank you Mr. Buzzkill...Just a reminder, that it's UP TO
Hey, I will be thrilled with up to 50 kw next weekend. Heading to Taos and Angel Fire NM next week for bike events. EV Charging wasteland. All the few broken DC chargers were recently down as the shitty local company was changing owners. Thought I was going to have to beg borrow or steal a NEMA 14-30 Lucid adapter from @borski stash, and displace a clothes dryer in a friend's garage. Just recently, a Detroit EV charging company, Red E, bought the rights and installed nice new Trillium 50kw DC pedestals. No app, just tap and go.Thank you Mr. Buzzkill...
I’m disappointed. You even emphasized it!For which I am sure you are eternally GREATFUL
Hold tight @L-Dude , I know that. And agree. My quip was aimed at Buzz Kill. A reliable, modern 50kw DC pedestal in the Back of Beyond is a rural game changer. I remember years ago having a maintenance man unlock a Nema 14-50 receptacle for me at the Red River NM fair grounds.Hey I was just joking around. 50 (or 42kW) is a great opportunity in some of the EV deserts where I road trip.
You can't always get what you wantI’m disappointed. You even emphasized it!![]()
