Suspension Clunk

I literally can’t drown out the clunky suspension with music because the blown woofer just kicks in 😂

Oof, this just started happening in my 2025 GT. 2500 miles.

Same symptoms. Hard to consistently reproduce. At slower speeds seems like dips in the road or pot holes will result in a rattling / clunking sound on the driver side wheel well.

Haven’t tried reproducing at higher speeds (highway) for safety concerns.

Going to call service center tomorrow… 😭

I just had the left front strut replaced under warranty. I live in Columbus OH but the service needed to be done in Cold Water MI (west of Detroit). The repair only took a day but the car was gone for 2 weeks which I think was too long. The transport only took 5 hours each way so the car basically sat at the service center for 10 days waiting on a part. I don’t understand why the part wasn’t already there since this service was pre-scheduled in December. But the noise is gone and I’m happy it has been repaired.
What kind of noise were you hearing? Thinking I may need my left front strut replaced as well

Mine started doing the same (front driver’s side) at around 900 miles. Only audible at slow speeds (20 mph or so) on rough / inconsistent roadways. It is at KOP now for that and replacing one trim piece that was defective at delivery.

Dana and the team at KOP are beyond amazing. Far and away the human, caring service team I have ever worked with for a car company.

I will report back what (if anything) they find.

The first thing that was done in attempt to fix the clunky suspension was to replace the driver side strut (which didn’t fix it). That was 10 months ago.

But then again this is the same service team that said they replaced my driver side woofer and returned the car to me with it sounding worse than before.

Sounds identical to what I'm experiencing. Has been in 3 times for suspension issues. Whole RDU was actually replaced and they accidently installed the coils upside down? Caused the coil covers to crack. That got fixed, now front left sounds super loose

✨compromise nothing✨
Yeah, sadly, us humans ain't too good at perfection. I am sure glad there is not an online forum dedicated to pointing out my human foibles (or yours, or anyone else's on here, for that matter)...

That said, IMHO Lucid is a fantastic company with employees and management that try really hard to compromise nothing...that does not mean they will (or ever can) attain perfection.

For sure, but unfortunately my ownership experience in North Texas has been subpar - particularly when it comes to getting things repaired. There’s always some sort of push back.

For example, I had a “front right radar fault” that would appear sporadically starting the day after I took delivery. When I initially complained about it, I was told there was nothing wrong. Second time I was told the radar could’ve been bumped loose and that they tightened/realigned it. The third time they figured out the radar was actually damaged due to some “repairs” done before I took delivery of the car - so they decided to replace the radar which completely fixed the issue.

I also complained about the woofer buzz noise during my first two service appointments - but was told nothing was out of the ordinary. On my third visit I had to spend a lot of time convincing the remote tech something was wrong with the woofer and he miraculously found the first TSB tape fix (which had already been released when I initially complained about the issue). Fast forward to version 2.6 release and the subsequent TSC tape fix, the woofer buzz noise is back and worse than ever. I then waited two weeks for my service appointment, and then another two weeks while my car was at the appointment just to get my car shipped back to me with nothing fixed (other than something they broke while it was there). I sent a video of the woofer clearly still broken to my service advisor last Wednesday, so it’ll probably be going back in for service yet again.

And when it comes to the suspension clunk, I’ve complained about it during every service visit starting from first week of ownership, duplicated it with two remote technicians, shared a couple of videos capturing the exact sound, and gathered evidence that I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. Somehow service still can’t figure it out. I’m willing to compromise when it comes to software quirks because a quick reset always fixes things right up, but not when it comes to hardware.

On the bright side… I do think I have the absolute sexiest looking car on the market. If it weren’t for its looks I probably would’ve leased a more reliable car and called it a day.

I hear you -- and feel for you. Here's to hoping that your experience improves and that they joy of the good things about the car continue to outweigh the trials and tribulations! If you haven't already, perhaps sync up with @marqie?

Aside from the other things he mentioned regarding service (since this is a suspension clunk thread) I feel what @mustafam1 is experiencing. I’m a cheerleader for Lucid. Always recommending to everyone I know and even letting strangers drive my car to experience it.

However, there is obviously a wider issue with this suspension clunk. Many people are experiencing it. Posted here and elsewhere. Like I posted before “all our cars do this” was quoted to me after the third trip for the Pure to service. All their cars do not do this. As proven by the GT I drive daily that does not do this.

Hope they figure out what it is and fix it. It’s unnerving to hear it while driving as if something is coming loose. And frustrating to hear “everything is fine” after a service visit.

And to support what you are saying, my 2025 AGT had zero noise in the front left suspension for its first 500-750 miles. The noise developed (and progressed) over the subsequent 350-500 miles…

Odd; I thought that’s what this forum was for…

I have the same issue and my car was towed back to service center in Orange County on Friday for the 2nd time with the same issue. The first time they told me it was some sort of brake cable which sounds bizarre. In any case, they "fixed" it which lasted a couple of months and now it's worse than over, mainly passenger side. My sales rep told me one of the demo vehicles just had the same thing happen for the first time. We will see...

Might be worth looking into your state’s lemon laws. You might be able to get out of your lease if you have a solid enough case

I was in and out of the service center today in 20 min. Sound is gone (for now). I hope this isn’t an early indicator of some longer term issues. Attached the work that was done.
