Some more info about Gravity

Like a japanese gentlemen agreement? Also considering that suvs like the cayenne and macan have good handling, I am convinced lucid can do the same.

The Cayenne and Macan are much smaller and lighter vehicles with considerably less power than the Sapphire drivetrain produces. Even Lucid cannot repeal the laws of physics.

I don't doubt the Gravity will have very good handling for a vehicle in its class. But that's a different question from whether its braking and handling can be up to the task of managing Sapphire levels of power.

If Gravity uses same chassis as Air, I don’t think it might be as roomy as people expected. Probably need increase wheelbase. Anyway, I am anxiously waiting for upcoming reveal.

Lucids LEAP is modular I believe, similar to r1t vs r1s.

Best in its class for sure. Also, lets not forget this is still MX plaid sized, and I have no doubt lucid can considerably beat that.

Lucid has said the wheelbase will be lengthened, although the vehicle itself will be "just slightly longer" than the Air. This caused speculation that Lucid might also add battery modules to offset the range loss of the taller, heavier vehicle, but in this video Jenkins said the battery pack would remain the same (although he didn't say whether it would be the 112- or the 118-kWh pack).

The Lucid Air is 195.9" long, and our Honda Odyssey minivan is 203.2" long. Given that the Gravity motors will not eat up the longitudinal space that the Honda's engine does, I think it would be possible for the Gravity to have a fair bit more longitudinal cabin space than our fairly roomy Odyssey, even if a few inches shorter in overall length.

I'll be really interested to see the final wheelbase figures for the Gravity compared to the Odyssey, as therein will lie a lot of the tale about cabin length.

Just look at hood/glass ratio and it says everything you need to know.

It says something, but windshield extension is also about slope. Our Odyssey windshield is so steeply raked that the leading edge of the windshield is over the engine bay. Wheelbase bears more directly on cabin length, as front wheel wells (and crush zone requirements) limit how far forward front seating can be placed. In a 6- or 7-passenger configuration, such as Lucid has teased, rear wheel wells are less limiting, as two-abreast third-row seating can lie between the wheel wells.

Given that the Gravity will have a frunk that our Odyssey doesn't, the Lucid's third row could conceivably be pushed further back than in our Odyssey while still providing enough luggage storage for road trips with a full house.

The Air has convinced me that Lucid can work near miracles with interior packaging.

Saw these images online- not sure if these are real , but looks cool

I realize that the new Lincoln Nautilus isn't an EV, but the interior design looks pretty good IMHO. Hopefully an EV version will be on the horizon. That full width screen is very reminiscent of the now dead Byton M-Byte

I've been thinking about this car as a 2 car purchase, one the lucid air and the other the nautilus. Pretty much moved up to aviator size now, and gravity may be jsut a bit too expensive if we bought it with the air as a 2 car purchase.

I know this is going to sound trivial to most of you but please please tell me the gravity will have a 12 V outlet accessible to the front seat

I mean, this is a very specific detail that we do not have access to as of this moment. If you mean the cigarette extension, USB is much faster. I would also imagine that there would be a home power outlet, which is a better option than 12v.
My question is, why do you want the antiquated 12 volt? Genuinely curious..

To plug in the beer cooler

I would think (hope) so. Our Rivian has one in the front and back. Coupled with the internet hotspot, you can work from anywhere.

A 12v cigarette lighter type outlet to plug in a new escort radar detector like I use successfully in all my cars, right now I have to use a 5v to 12v converter in the only usb outlet in the front seat area. I wouldn’t call a 12v outlet used by 10s of millions of 12v car accessories all over the world “old fashioned “
