Gravity Features

According to the preprod prototype, it does not have them. I too would view it as weird if it didnt have them for the final version.

But the feature is mentioned on the ordering site, so they’ll be there. The only question I have is whether they’ll be powered or manual.

According to a November 16 "Motor Trend" article, "we're told a six-passenger Gravity with second-row captain's chairs is being considered for later on."

I was planning on a Dream Edition with the captains chairs. Is it possible the top trim Gravity won't offer them . . . or that they might never arrive? (Back when we were speculating about power-operated doors in the Air, some Design Studios told people that power-operated doors were not ready for the time Dream Edition production start but would come later. They never did. One service tech even told me you could tell which Air had the power-operated doors by the presence of a piston plunger in the door instead of the metal strip that caught the door when it opened.)

And remember the "executive rear seats" in the Air that were hyped endlessly prior to launch and were actually present in many of the early demo vehicles? I'm pretty sure those plans are long since on the scrap heap.
I was counting on same, but will eschew that particular requirement. I’m selling my Model X (2022 Plaid) when my Gravity is delivered. My Model X is the 6-seat config, and the space between the two middle seats proved super useful for a powered refrigerator / freezer. I’ve gotten used to having cold drinks in the car on long roadtrips — and to being able to shop for perishables at multiple stores in one outing, keeping meats and dairy nice and cold while driving from store to store. Will miss my fridge (and specifically access to it while on the road without having to pull over).

Minor sacrifice to be rid of the shame mobile (Musk’s antics have been the final shove I needed to pounce on a Gravity and say goodbye to Teslas)

I agree with you about Musk. I sold my Model X 2 years ago when I bought my AGT.

That is the most brilliant use of the useless space I've seen!

Correct, but you'll notice that the post was from a year ago, when me and a few other users were conducting a FBI level investigation on the Gravity!

Absolutely my bad on the date! Sorry about that. New here and bumbling around bouncing off things 🥴🤣
I understand the feeling! I have a feeling you'll like this community.

About the shades, it truly would be strange if they were manual, as the Air has powered ones. However, if they somehow are manual, could a possible reason be because Lucid wants less things in the backseat to be fragile (for kids and families)?

Good point. We’ll have to wait and see!

Gravity would definitely accelerate faster than a Urus
Maybe a Sapphire Gravity, but likely not the GT.

The Urus 0-60 is quoted as 3.1 seconds. Lucid removed mention of 0-60 for Gravity from their website as far as I can see, but the original press release said under 3.5 seconds.

It should be noted, however, that you don't even get manual sunshades without the Comfort & Convenience Package.

When I sat in the Gravity at a Design Studio I noticed an outline in the top of the rear door interior panels in the same place the sunshades are in the Air. I asked the sales rep about sunshades and, as I guessed, he didn't know. It looked as if a fixed panel was in place where the sunshades would be, so I suspect that's what you'll get without the package.

Sorry, but despite being wrong, this sounds like something Tesla would say. I was referring to handling… there’s more to being fast than just acceleration (which the Urus beats anyways).

I'm guessing that Gravity wasn't built for this:

How is that possible when all the tires stay completely straight and don’t move at all?

How is that possible when all the tires stay completely straight and don’t move at all?
The tires on the left side of the car are rotating in the opposite direction of the tires on the right. It's called a "tank turn". I think this trick requires four drive motors.
The downside of the e-Gwagon is that it costs about twice as much as Gravity, and has half the range.
