Software Wishlist for 2025

It would be really nice to toggle between favorites on SiriusXM from the steering wheel instead of having to do so from the touch screen. Reordering favorites would be nice as well. It seems bizarre that a vehicle with such high tech equipment cannot accomplish these simple functions when they are standard on so many other vehicles

Agreed! My wife's 2019 Lexus is able to do that. My 2025 Lucid Pure cannot.
My radio works most of the time, but I have learned to live with it, keep wifif off, and re -boot it when needed.

I love the styling and driving expereience. I have given up on the (never promised) V2L and (I think promised) AA Auto.

Perhaps someday someone will reverse engineer a 20 year old Honda or Nissan key fob so that we will have a decent keyfob, but I have a way around that now. (I refuse to use my phone to get into the car.)

I really love my low-end 2025 Air Pure, and will never trade it. BUT I do not believe it will ever have major feature updates. All the Co. energy seems to be on their newer models.

I'm a former Tesla owner and love the driving experience and significantly better fit/finish of my new 2025 Lucid Air. However, the infotainment system and user ergonomics of the Lucid are far inferior to Tesla, but should be able to be improved via software updates. In addition to the many excellent suggestions posted earlier:

  • I would like to see Homelink triggered by the vehicle's GPS position, just as Tesla's performs. The vehicle already knows that it is proximate to your garage door or gated entry, so the next logical feature would be to have it automatically signal the opener to open/close.
  • Turn signals should automatically turn-off upon completing a lane change. I believe that Tesla uses its cameras to confirm the change and automatically turns off the signal.
  • The LLM utilized for voice features needs to improve significantly, and should be able to control most of the car's features... from setting temperature to turning on the wipers. My Tesla did this with ease, and it enhanced driver safety.
  • Restoring the driver's profile seat and related positions after someone else alters the position should be easy via a soft button on the display.
  • Accelerate the development of an Amazon Music app. I have enjoyed its high resolution music and no-commercials podcasts in my Tesla and there are a significant number of others like me who use their service instead of Spotify.
  • Sirius XM: Enhance the ergonomics of the app. Displaying favorite channels while driving should be easy and it isn't. Access to on-demand content should be easy, but it isn't. Channel numbers don't display when scrolling through the channels.
  • The LLM's voice recognition is unsatisfactory when requesting a driving destination. Yesterday, I clearly requested a destination by stating the desired street number, street name and city. The system requested clarification and displayed several alternatives, including some in other states. I have a very clear speaking voice, and never had issues like this in my Tesla.

Turn signals should automatically turn-off upon completing a lane change.
Lucid does that with a short / soft tap instead of full press of the signal (three blinks). I came from Tesla too, so I know what you mean. I prefer Lucid's approach to lane changing signal. Soft tap for one lane change, hard tap for multiple, then press to cancel. I think this a matter of personal preference for all of us.

For what it’s worth, you can do this today with Home Assistant.

It does. The first detent will blink 3 times. If you use lane change assist, it will also automatically turn off the blinker.

A soft button already exists for this; one for restoring the seat position and one for restoring the steering wheel position.

I agree that this may be a matter of personal preference. On the Lucid, the short tap provides a short duration signal of about 3 seconds, and does not appear to be correlated to whether the vehicle has changed lanes. The longer signal needs to be manually turned off. When Tesla introduced the lane change feature that was turned off by the completed lane change, it took a while for me to get used to it, but I learned to appreciate the use of the car's cameras/sensors to turn the signal off. It would seem to me that this would be a rather simple software enhancement to provide the optionality of using the car's native intelligence to do this. In the meantime, I'll survive with the old way of signaling. :)

Am I the only one who holds the turn signal stalk while making a lane change? I've always done this in every car. I just stick out one finger on my left hand and hold the stalk in the "soft" position until I'm done. It boggles my mind watching people reach out with a whole hand to move the stalk, then move it back.

It’s not a bad idea, to be clear. It already does this when using Lane Change Assist; if *it* changes lanes, it will turn off the blinker when it’s done.

A lot of the requests relate to reliability - that things work as they are supposed to. Although I 100% agree, I'm sure Lucid is working on them as they crop up. Some problems must be harder to solve than others, especially ones that are intermittent or only affect a small percentage of owners. Small comfort to those with those issues but ...
As far as software features, some of the top of my list are AA and sentry/dashcam, which we have been told are already in the works.

That leaves a greater variety of native apps (Amazon music, Netflix, etc) and educating HAL (Hey Lucid). Right now, HAL is a delinquent but he gives me comfort that Skynet is quite sometime away yet.

So all in all, I'm pretty good with software features. Now I don't know if it's hardware or software, but V2H is a long running unfulfilled promise. 🤨

Thank you! I'll check out the latter two feature capabilities you mentioned, but will wait for Lucid to hopefully upgrade the HomeLink capabilities in the future.

Sentry mode for sure! Dashcam!
Now that ive had mine for over a month, id like to update:
1. Sentry mode
2. Tidal and xmradio app refresh for easier music searches and channel changes
3. Better mutitasking between top and bottom screens
4. Better programing for the mobile key.
5. Pin to drive always on option.
6. Valet restrictions

So long as it's a toggle I can turn off. In no universe do I want my car automatically triggering my garage door without my input.
