Same issue for me.Tech at Natick MA service center mentioned that apparently the custom button on the steering wheel needs to be pressed in dead center (right on the concentric circle logo) to avoid the mis-click.I have this exact issue. I set the custom button as screen didn’t recognize my touch most of the time. Now, custom button works - but often takes several presses. Still better than on the screen.
From what he mentioned, the switch can do many actions due to presence of multiple capacitors (?) but to guarantee it, press right on top of the icon.
I tried this a couple of times - seems consistent enough - but at least for me it is hard to tell if I am pressing right down the middle, or if I just have fat finders and I am pressing the entire button surface equally.
