I agree, this is a shortcoming. I'd rather they just gave us more speeds for the non-intermittent function. Five speeds instead of two would do the trick.I agree with you wholeheartedly. The intermittent wipers are practically useless. Need to go back to the stalk where you can also adjust the intermittent wiping speed. I had the same problem with taking my eyes off the road while driving trying to find a wiping speed that works, not constantly fiddling around with low, high, press button for one swipe etc.
They are trying to prevent you from blinding oncoming cars if the "auto" happens to not be perfect. They are erring on the side of safety, in other words.Just to add: I'd just love a simple addition of keeping the auto high beam setting to "on." It's annoying to have to remember to turn auto high beams on every time I drive the car at night. Isn't the point of "auto" to set it and forget it?
I've never had a concern since the auto high beam assists appears to work well. The tech's been around a while with other manufacturers as well and stays on auto in Many vehicles. Oddly, I found that this even differed within a manufacturer--on my old Audi RS5, the setting didn't remain on auto, whereas it did remain on auto on our old Audi Q8.They are trying to prevent you from blinding oncoming cars if the "auto" happens to not be perfect. The vast majority of people do not need high beams on every time they get into their car. I know some people live in very remote, extremely dark places. But most don't. And pushing a stalk once every time you drive for that small number of drivers isn't a big lift.
Apple did not allow Lucid to put it on the lower panel because it is not in the line of sight.Another suggestion. Allow car play to switch to the Pilot (?)/ large middle screen. I mostly use waze and it's difficult to see on the small space allotted to CarPlay,
However there is a setting today, if it's enabled then it should be "auto". No auto after I turn it on. For those who dont want "auto" - disable the setting. They are trying to prevent you from blinding oncoming cars if the "auto" happens to not be perfect. Auto hvac is not auto. Please upgrade iton the wiper selection, not well executed. My first car with "rain sense" wipers was maybe 2006 or so. It's every bit as good as it was back then, which is not very. Just like in 2006, in mixed rain they respond to the conditions 300 meters ago (or not at all) or go into full hysterics during moderate rain which is more distracting than the rain.
Same with auto climate control, I don't need the fan on 11 and 90* air cooking me just to get interior to the target as quickly as possible...summer down HVAC, geez. Unless they give us the ability to temper the response to the conditions to match personal preference, the "auto" option is a no-go for me 98% of the time.
What do you mean? You set a temp and it gets to that temp and maintains it. Seems auto to meAuto hvac is not auto. Please upgrade it
You can set the temperature. AC does not change (fan speed) to get to that temp. You have to manually change fan speed to get to your temp setting. Service has told me that it is not auto like my previous cars. What do you mean? You set a temp and it gets to that temp and maintains it. Seems auto to me
It absolutely does change the fan speed. You can set the temperature. AC does not change (fan speed) to get to that temp. You have to manually change fan speed to get to your temp setting. Service has told me that it is not auto like my previous cars.
Auto controls both fan speed and temperature, not sure why service would have told you otherwise. You can set the temperature. AC does not change (fan speed) to get to that temp. Set your fan to 10, pick a temp, hit auto and you will see the fan adjust down. You can set the temperature. AC does not change (fan speed) to get to that temp. You have to manually change fan speed to get to your temp setting. Service has told me that it is not auto like my previous cars.
Too much screen hopping? You mean you simply tap the climate button and then choose your seat or steering wheel heat? Seems rather simple to me.Any line of sight to incoming software updates? I'd really like to see some effort put into the infotainment. Multitasking for top/bottom screens...maybe some way of bringing heated seat/steering wheel controls onto the main page on the pilot screen. There's just way too much screen hopping to get anything done as it is.
