Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

Besides some kind of dashcam/sentry mode system, all I want Lucid to add at this point is some kind of Tesla-like “bong!” when the traffic light turns green.

As for any kind of “Lucid FSD” - meh…apart from highway cruising and crawling along in stop-n-go traffic on the 405, it’s just not my thing.

Another forum member just reminded me: it would be very useful when DC fast charging to see the kW amount the car is cable of accepting from a charging station. All we can see now is what the charging station is actually delivering.

Do you mean the charging curve? Or do you mean the charging voltage?

I mean: when you plug your car into a DC fast charger, the car should display throughout the charging session:
kW requested from changing station
KW output of charging station
KWh delivered
Minutes to charge completion

Yes, part of the "mystery" RE: charging speed lies in what kW the DCFC is delivery AND some the parasitic charging losses during the charging process (see SoC videos). There is often a gap between the theoretical and the actual. For better or for worse, the theoretical is what the EV can experience under ideal conditions. This is what is often quoted by the manufacturers, perhaps as they should). The "actual" is what happens in real life.

please yes.. fix the wiper auto function.... my new 25 GT wipers have the strangest algorithm. Same here w/ dense rain and had to activate dream drive (again) to play w/ the speed settings on the wiper to at least be 'on' when it's actually raining when on the highway when it wasn't raining seconds earlier. I remember saying out loud to myself in the car, "Lucid, are you seriously not turning on the wipers now?". no response. lol! Curious if Lucid uses a visual contrast method for activating the wipers, or some software witchcraft using all sensors and cameras.. reason.. for the last few days of driving in the rain, i noticed a huge amount of camera faults (turn signal camera non op, 3d cam, etc) along with wipers not doing 'wiper things' as they should. Lite rain.. no issues... only that the wipers on too much when there's no visible drops of rain on the windshield. (don't get me started on how many times I stood in the rain outside my car wishing for the doors to unlock)

It's also worth noting that the "charging curve" is actually a family of curves, selected by (at least) battery temperature, battery health, charging history, and ambient temperature. The car's BMS is responsible for determining how much charging power the battery and its associated cooling system can take at any point in time.

I believe that the Air uses a standard windshield-mounted IR reflection rain sensor like most cars with auto wipers.

Exactly!

If this is the case then I can’t fathom how the wipers don’t sense rain better. I’ve had my car since 12/16 and we’ve had rain all but 3 of those days and oh boy am I wearing out that poor button on the end of the stalk.

There is also a low manual and high manual mode, in case you’re not aware. You don’t have to rely on the sensor.
