State of the art 2006 and its replacement in 2023.

The S65 has been pretty solid but when things do need replacing (24 spark plugs and 2 coil packs …) it gets expensive but until the Air, I think it has been the best car in the road.
They actually have got a lot in common. For instance they both don’t have Apple CarPlay.

I know lots of pictures have been posted, but here’s my Zenith Red GT with 19” wheels and Mohave interior. It arrived last week with only 3 days notice. I didn’t even get notified of a VIN assignment. But the car is working reasonably well. Much quieter than my Model S and no big glitches with keys, phone connection or startup. The software system is, as we know, very primitive. Voice commands generally don’t work and it lacks basic features, like auto dimming headlights and heated mirrors, that are common on much lower priced cars. So I can’t really call it a luxury car. But it’s definitely fun to drive.
That is a beautiful car!!!

. 1300 mile roundtrip went like butter except for some EA angst.

Since I am spending a few days in the Springs, it only made sense to drop by the Garden of the Gods this morning.

We visited the super bloom at Carrizo Plains yesterday. 19" wheels were good for peace of mind on the rough and unpaved roads.

Perhaps not my best pic but I was surprised to see all the snow on my ‘grill’ after driving from Truckee to Stateline, NV in a minor snow storm...The valet parker explained that EV’s don’t melt the snow on their hoods because they don’t radiate heat. :)
