My rear license plate mount lost the bolt and nut insert (plastic frame failed?). Any suggestions on how I can remedy this? I only see screws online but that will not do. Thanks.

Hi,

The four screws used to secure the rear license plate and license plate frame onto the bracket go into 4 rubber inserts with threaded holes. Each rubber insert unfortunately is secured onto the bracket by glue. Over time the glue fails. You can try gluing it back on, but it won't last.

Instead of buying a new bracket from Lucid with the same flawed design, I purchased one from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D4BTF2G?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) where the 4 threaded holes are part of the bracket. I just put mine on today, and it works pretty well. The only downside is that the 2 center screws require new holes to be drilled.

Hope this helps!
