Quick invite to order?

The name of the campaign is Inverter Cooler Torque Campaign just as a fyi
So the bolt torque issue is with the Inverter Cooler(s) and not the battery modules as reported earlier?

I believe the inverter coolers are to keep the battery modules cool.

@mnewber1 same boat as you, fully speced out Touring. I just don't think I need the extra 100m range or .2 seconds but so so tempted...

In my experience with an EV, you may not think you want the extra 100 miles of range today, but you probably will a year later.

Worth 30k for that? Isn't that a whole new car? I can afford it just not sure because on average I drive like 20 miles per day to and from my office.

I would say the number 1 reason people were looking at the Air, is the range. Not just Tesla-fatigue, and the range numbers people are talking about is the 500+. The touring and pure numbers are equal to the MS, and a lot of people here, myself included, are upgrading from an MS to the AGT. Obviously if you just like the appearance of the Air, that’s good too. But the extra ~100 miles is the single-most important factor to those of us purchasing I would say. With EVs, 100 miles isn’t 100 miles at the end of the day either.

I am on the verge of clicking upgrade.... who is going to push me off the ledge?

In my case the range was a bonus factor. I thought I had a deal on a Taycan but then the dealer pulled a fast one and jacked up the price after I thought we had agreement. Anyway, glad now that happened. The key factors for me at that time (last April) deciding to move to the Lucid were 1) Interior comfort and rear legroom/headroom. 2) Price (I was looking at either the Turbo or Turbo S and the Dream matches up equal or better). 3) Storage space. 4) Exclusivity and looks (currently much more unique in this area as Taycans are now common). 5) Power (Lucid outruns the Turbo S by a substantial margin) and handling is very close. Never considered the Tesla; don't like the exterior or interior at all.

Everything you listed here, could’ve been achieved with a touring or a pure, except for power, massaging seats and DD pro being standard (not listed in your decision because most of us don’t care much about it yet). Even more leg room in the smaller pack versions. And you still chose an AGT, and were able to upgrade to the DE. The only difference was a slightly quicker 0-60, but 100 more miles of range. I think we are all going to be happy with whatever Air version you choose, but I stand by range being the most important decision making factor.

You can take mine, lol, as yesterday received the GT confirmation request email, I'm stepping down to a Touring.

Do you have a fully specced touring?

Conceptually I agree with you. Originally I was thinking the Touring but then I saw there were a number of items standard on the GT that were extra on the Touring that I knew I wanted (stereo, massage seats, canopy roof, Dream Drive Pro, etc.) so I put my deposit down on the GT thinking I could downgrade to the Touring if I decided later to do so. I also put my name on the waitlist for the Dream just "for the heck of it". Lastly, I bought the CCIV stock at just under $18 and then when I got the invite to upgrade it was a "no brainer" given the stock's performance up to that point. Still very happy I got the Dream!!

LOL - now I am more off the ledge, a few feet away from it. Was closer to jumping off of it 20 minutes ago. I can "afford" either one, but it is more about, the value...

So really the difference is just the battery pack and whatever difference ein performance. Guess it depends on whether or not you want the range extension, seeing as you got the 19" instead of the 20" or 21" wheels.

Probably not the best person to take advice on go for it either :D

Why are you stepping down?
Main reason is value, as I now have a fully optioned '21 GLS450 which I purchased for about 90K, so I'm looking at an EV (given some allowance for power, TCO, etc) at about 100K so the Touring fits. Also, no real need for the 500 mile range or the HP of the GT. Also, the Touring maybe actually be an early transition to an EV while waiting for the Gravity, so thinking resale vale maybe higher/more accessible to buyers.

Yea, 19" because I live in NY and the weather here... Plus better range with the 19". I won't ever use the massage chairs.

This is really about range... I made a poll here https://lucidowners.com/threads/is-...range-to-500-miles-of-range-worth-40-000.793/
I thought the same about massage seats however my wife loves them and turns them on immediately upon entering the car. Makes driving with her much more enjoyable and I have to admit I really like them too. The Dolby Atmos (for the limited amount currently of Tidal selections is phenomenal!! Once we get CarPlay selections are huge!!
