that Covid fraud didn’t hurt Tesla 🤔
Did you see Teslas quarterly earnings? It did hurt them, just not nearly as bad. I chalk that up to experience, long term relationships and factories in multiple countries.

It’s not the same, let’s be honest.

😂😂 Keep paying attention to that China intel. TSLA 922 today. when everyone else was crying Covid and chip shortage, Musk was leaving communist CA to focus on 24 hour production in Texas. Weird, purported chip shortage didn’t hurt TSLA either. With Musk FU money, he could easily smuggle out enough chips from Taiwan to keep on building.
Are you a troll ? Because if you are not , then you are just an obnoxious meathead who is injecting politics into this forum.

Really love how Peter starts the call off with maximum fluff.... plenty of detail around "potential" reservations, Goodwood record and in-house expertise. At least he clarified the Pure is still on track for production before the end of the year.

🤣 Lol…. He is personally on the production floor. So is he sleeping there like Musk?

Only three possibilities if they are indeed going to start production on Pure this year.

- There are fewer than 6k GT and Touring reservations total, including the GTs they've already delivered.
- They are going to start Pure production before Touring, and there are fewer than 6k GTs.
- They are going to start Touring and Pure with at least some GT orders outstanding.

My guess would be the third option, which I assumed all along. You have to cut off the GTs at some point, otherwise someone could order in November and get their GT before someone who ordered a Pure in 2020 gets theirs.

The question is, what will the cutoff date be? Or will it not be about dates, but rather some other criteria? Will the poor Silver reservation holders get their GTs before White Pures and Tourings start shipping?

Does anyone here think ( I am not interested in hearing from the troll ) that this is a serious threat to Lucid as a business?
As others have mentioned, Rivian seems to be functioning much more smoothly.
Can they recover and get their act together?

I'm curious as to whether they're able to produce GTs, Tourings and Pure's on the same line or if there are different lines? How does the changeover go between cars with glass roof versus the steel roof. If i'm Lucid, I'm cranking out all the GTs I can given profit margins and I'm telling others to wait to minimize production challenges. But that's not necessarily what I'm hearing from Peter.

Major software upgrade, later this year. December?

I'm not really worried about Lucid failing. I'm more worried the price will get driven down and the PIF will take it private again and being forced to sell my shares.

I was thinking the same. I don't think there is that much demand for the Touring as initially expected and the DA said as much at the time which is how they're getting to the Pure by year end.

I just get a little nervous about getting this vehicle and shortly after the company ceases to exist. I realize that is unlikely , but it does concern me.

Average selling price is $94.5k over 37k reservations, indicating many more Pure’s than GTs and Ts

I wouldn’t. If the company went bankrupt, and a big IF with the Saudis behind them, some big legacy automaker will buy them for their tech and Lucid would be their luxury name plate.

Yea, he said later this year. I thought end of summer originally. That is a concern for car owners. :/
Maybe they're learning to push the timelines out and then deliver earlier than said. Not to say that incremental updates won't come and improve things also.

Great questions. I have no idea how car companies do this stuff. But it would have to be easier for them to do Tourings and GTs together. At least the Tourings with glass roofs, pro audio, and DDPro. But all three trims have different seats, and Pure and Touring have a different battery pack from the GT. Maybe they share a line for some stages, and then diverge for others?

That’s a great point. I should be receiving my car soon, so I will just make every effort to enjoy it and let those pesky thought go.
More therapy on the forums😎😎😎

I hope so.
The casino market will never allow that type of drop occur. No flushing allowed. It’s great out there. Just repeat GOOG hit their revenue number and all is right with the casino again.

it’s not the same however, Musk cut expenses in payroll and state taxes. He had the foresight to make mitigating moves To maintain his profit. As they say, It’s not what you make, it’s what you keep.
Lucid HQs in CA and builds in AZ? Why would you select either of these States? Lucid has endless Saudi money So maybe they are less pragmatic in their business tactics.

best thing that could happen to Lucid is if Musk publicly called out the Saudis as inferior and challenged them to catch his production and market share. That would be fun to watch. 🤓

Agreed. Later this year is a much better thing to say publicly when it comes to software. That could mean any day from tomorrow until December 31st. And if they get it out early, all the better.

I'm guessing internally they have a more specific target date in mind.

Coffee in hand (or tea as he's British), standing on the floor just yelling "QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY" every hour on the hour, sitting in the break room in between that staff are no longer allowed to go in as it's Peter's room now 😂
