Nope. I think they will extend it to Pures too. Pure production is expected to ramp up at the beginning of April. Coincidentally, that's the start of Q2. The discount is expected to end 3/31 which is the end of Q1. However, alot of Pure folks aren't willing to risk it and have gone ahead and upgraded to Touring.Truly though... am I the only one that thinks that Lucid will probably offer the same discount on Pures as well?
I called My Lucid Advisor, asked him if legacy pricing would still apply, he said yes. I asked him if any color combo would be faster or a delay, he said if I accepted the $7500 Air Credit, and added the glass canopy to my build in order to be eligible for the air credit, he said they are currently producing Cosmos and Quantum Grey Cars, and if I accepted I would have my car in a couple of weeks. So I accepted the Air Credit offer, changed my color to Cosmos Silver, added the Glass Roof at a $4000, and qualified for the $7500 air credit (saved $3500 and got a glass roof for free) . My online build sheet was updated one hour later and it shows "$7500 air credit" subracted from the grand total. at the bottom. This is better than a tax credit because you get the whole $7500! 2 hours later my status changed to "in production" and I recived my VIN.. all this happened in less than 4 hours today. super excited! How do you do it? Under your account on the Lucid site? Are you sure you'll get it before the promo ends? Thx
I would wait until closer to March 31st to cancel to see if Stealth and Pures are added to the discount. Lots of Stealth folks are letting Lucid hear about their disappointment that Stealth isn't included.Congrats to all of you who upgraded to touring or modified orders to qualify - I left a VM and an email for my DA who works out of the Scottsdale location and he’s hit or miss about responses. I understand that lucid doesn’t need to do anything but I love the AT in stealth and QG configuration and I’m quite upset that it doesn’t qualify for a discount as well, hoping for them to make that a possibility otherwise I will cancel my order.
I have air touring scheduled for delivery next week. I got Legacy pricing and got 7500 discounted on lease contract. They deducted it from amount due at signingI just saw an email about this. It looks like they are giving a $7500 credit for certain Touring models off of the higher pricing from last year. And they are giving a $7500 credit off of LEGACY pricing for the GT. This seems to solidify my thoughts on Lucid building more GT's than they had orders for thereby delaying Touring production into later 2022 and costing many of us the tax credit. Frustrating. And before anyone says "just get one now." I have legacy touring pricing. So, the $7500 credit off new pricing doesn't help.
I think they will too. They will have too, to stay competitive.Truly though... am I the only one that thinks that Lucid will probably offer the same discount on Pures as well?
Not really, it depends on your tax liability. I’ve gotten the entire $7,500 on each of my EVs. If your tax liability is less than $7,500, then sure, this is better than the tax credit. Of course you also reap the benefits quicker, so it’s closer to ‘instant gratification’.My online build sheet was updated one hour later and it shows "$7500 air credit" subracted from the grand total. at the bottom. Contact your DA and indicate that you'd like to change your order based on the recently announced credit. I had a response and order changed in hours. How do you do it? Under your account on the Lucid site? Are you sure you'll get it before the promo ends? Thx
Also this way you don't pay sales tax on $7500--not huge, but where I live it equals to a case of pretty good wineNot really, it depends on your tax liability. Wait, this is a good point. Does Lucid owe those of us that already paid an additional refund off the sales tax of the $7,500? I'm going to text my DA and ask for clarification. Also this way you don't pay sales tax on $7500--not huge, but where I live it equals to a case of pretty good wine
Metal roof is also excluded. Bummer.Lucid Announces $7,500 EV Credit on the Purchase of Select Lucid Air Models
Limited time offer available for select configurations of Lucid Air Touring and Air Grand Touring ordered by March 31, 2023www.lucidmotors.com
Here's the PR, sad to see Stealth configurations are not eligible.
Lucid has incentivized people at each stage. Touring holders were encouraged to move up to Grand Touring. Now Pures and metal roof holders are being incentivized to move up to Touring. No reason to think they won't at least encourage RWD Pure holders to move up to AWD.Truly though... am I the only one that thinks that Lucid will probably offer the same discount on Pures as well?
I know...broken record, but...on the upcoming earnings call if the backlog for Airs has degraded since 3Q22, Lucid will have to cut prices on all models in order to bridge to the next product---which is Gravity--another $100k+ unit...rarified air, given EV disappointments, high interest rates, awful charging networks, recession uncertainty...etcI would expect them to extend the offer to the Pure line as well once production gets underway next month. If Tesla is willing to adapt to external forces, be it market or gov't policy, they'll follow along soon enough. They know the Pure will be the volume Air.
It doesn’t hurt to ask. They may be willing to send you a check. But be prepared for them to say no, just so you don’t get your hope up?Any suggestions for a delivery taken couple of days earlier than this notice ?
I sent my DA a message. She's back in the office today, so I expect to hear back. I got my car 5 days before this notice. I will let you know the response. Since it will almost pay for my PPF and Ceramic coating job, I'm will to work a little to get it.Any suggestions for a delivery taken couple of days earlier than this notice ?
I mean I love the car so far. I just hope they would atleast honor so that we can avail it since we trust the brand any ways …It doesn’t hurt to ask. They may be willing to send you a check. But be prepared for them to say no, just so you don’t get your hope up?
