Not specifically, just mentioned my build had components "all in good stock" e.g. what they stated earlier about builds that will get preference.

I desperately want the stealth package but I’m waiting to see where it falls with the delivery timeline. I’m honestly debating on getting a paint gauge to test the panels/doors, and if it’s too thin I’ll deny delivery. I wash and wax my cars myself and I’m terrified about the thin paint reports.

I am just one data point, and I can’t remember the hard number(s) thrown at me. The auto detail shop I used to apply PPF and ceramic coating assured me that paint thickness on my Air GT was consistent, and consistently thicker than anything they’d seen on the hundreds and hundreds of Teslas they’ve worked on.

My SA told me the queue starts anew with when you finalize your order.

I assume they will run through batches of color at a time though.

Yes, all new queue, based on the finalization date, batched according to options, and then color.

Reservation date only grants you earlier access to finalization. Which makes sense, when you think about it. They can’t hold a place in line for someone who hasn’t yet committed.

Who knows which color will come first, but basically, if you have all the “right” options mentioned in the email, it looks like 1-3 months from now, give or take, you’ll have you car if you finalize now.

Folks who want Stealth, metal roof, non-pro sound or Dream Drive, or Mojave will come sometime after that. No one knows how much longer after that. And no one knows which of those options will come first. My guess is unless there are supply chain issues, it won’t be long for all of them.

It looks like people who reserved as late as this summer are already being invited to finalize. So there may be as few as 2,000 reservations for Touring, if that 1k invites per week comment from an SA is correct.

I don't think Touring is available for demo anywhere at this point. So, I'm not sure how can they deliver to any customer by year-end.

With the GT, Lucid prioritized making customer cars before demo cars. The GT is close enough anyway, with the possible exception of the rear seat footwell.

Plenty of people are happy to order their Touring without seeing one on demo. Witness our tracker on page one of this thread.

Most of us drove the GT, figured out it would be similar enough, and took the plunge. It's really not that different a car.

Those who want to wait for a demo will probably be able to test drive one eventually. Maybe early next year.

My new fun game is to call dealerships that have used GT's for $129k and ask if they'll take $121k instead. I'll take a GT for a slight $10k uplift.

So far there has not been a positive response.
