After signing the purchase agreement yesterday Lucid sent an invitation to make payment.
This morning I followed up with my contact at Goose Island to get an update, my banker wanted to complete the loan and get insurance coverage initiated.
I didn't want to trigger those events if the delivery timeframe was still in limbo.
Turns out my Goose Island person had accelerated shipment and my car is expected to arrive in Chicago tomorrow morning.
Delivery is scheduled for Monday after work.
For folks asking about silver cars, the answer I got was, if you are at Goose Island you may see a couple of silver cars.

My car was delivered today. Ordered December 21, confirmed March 2. I found two little issues: a tiny bit of silver paint overspray on the top edge of the back glass, and the silver scuff pads were loose where the trunk closes. We pressed the strips down and they seemed to hold. Scraped the paint off the glass with my fingernail. Drove the car about 100 miles today and it performed perfectly. Turned lots of heads in downtown Nashville!

Update for the tracker - Got the call from Ross today and VIN #003850 email shortly thereafter. Confirmed 3/5/22. VIN 9/15/22. Red GT, Santa Cruz, 21”. Ross expects ready for pickup at Scottsdale by end of month. Woohoo!
I found it pretty funny Houston service center is in the same building as Tesla at the other end. Turns out lucid manager used to run the Tesla location. There are plenty of cars waiting. Is there any way to attach video to a forum post?
Congratulations, did you ever get any feedback as to why there were 25+ people who got their VIN who confirmed their red GT after you?
Thanks! I did call my DA about two weeks ago for an update because of the activity I was seeing and he said to expect production within 2 weeks from that call. I put that on my calendar and patiently waited. I never asked specifically why it was “out of date sequence”. Had it pushed into next month I would have been more disappointed. It’s definitely feeling like a major push to deliver by end of quarter - we’ll see the numbers in November.
Update for the tracker - Picked up car today from the Scottsdale service center. Good experience.
Found a super odd issue and wondering if anyone experienced this. We stopped on route going home and when we re-entered the car, the back seat right side speaker started blasting crackling sounds...almost like the speaker had lose wires in there. Double checked and realized it was going nuts off whatever I was playing on Bluetooth on my phone. I muted the volume to end the screeching sound, but then it started making smaller screeching sounds off any car indicator like lane departure warning or even turn signals. So wierd! called the service center already. waiting for response

Does it go away after a reboot?
Yes click on the 3 dots located after the Insert Table icon. It will bring down an Insert Video icon. Attached for example.
Note the server is capped at 20mb video files. If you need to upload something larger, click on the Media icon and you can paste in a URL from many platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc.

VIN assigned 9/13. Received Purchase agreement and invite to pay tonight. Completed the purchase agreement but will hold off paying until I have a delivery date. I couldn't even finish the loan until I had the purchase agreement....so there's that.
It gives hope that I should also get my VIN and Car soon. I also booked same configuration you mentioned with 21inch wheel on May 31st 2022.
As you can see plenty of black and silver cars in the background
