Has anyone heard anything about an updated Lucid branded home charger with NACS for the Gravity? I would assume they would want that to be available for those ordering a Gravity. It makes me further wonder about the delivery timeline of the Gravity if they aren't able to offer native NACS home chargers to go along with the vehicle. Hopefully this product will materialize when the CCS chargers finally come back in stock in late March (according to the website currently).

Will an adapter work with the current Air CCS home chargers to use for the Gravity?

Tesla’s wall charger for NACS is only $420, and the universal version is $550. I charge at 48 amps with a 60 amp breaker and pick up about 40 or so miles an hour.

Unless you want 80Amp and the “promise” of V2H. Then you’ll have to buy Lucid’s unit whenever they release it.
Exactly. I'm hoping they release it soon. It would seem a little wonky for Lucid to sell a vehicle and no charger (or a charger you'd have to use an adapter with). Hopefully they are working on it and it will be at least V2H ready.

For those that have the Home charging station for the Air (or any J1772 charger), you can buy the official J1772 to NACS adapter from Tesla. It is rated to 80 amps and only $50

In case you were trying to read the fine print on the adapter, I found one on eBay that I could zoom in on...

I agree on the wonkiness (first time ever using that word) of Gravity being sold w/o a LCHS w/NACS connector.

However, since Gravity will include a J1772 adapter, is there a downside to them continuing to only sell their current charger?

I would think not since Air owners with the current LCHS would be using that adapter if they bought a Gravity. I'm still learning.

Asking for a friend.😉

the vast majority of people do not have the wiring in their home that would support 80 amps
True, but I'm willing to bet that most people hire an electrician to put a 240 outlet in their garage. Not too much more in cost for 80 Amp setup especially if you don't have to add a new breaker box

The installation of a breaker is simple sure...but a lot of homes don't actually have wiring. Lot of older homes barely have 100Amp or 125Amp into the house. I have 125. You'd need a much more expensive project to get your Amps boosted in your home. New wiring from power company to your house.
