NACS Charging at Tesla SCs

Wharton Bucee's ..southwest Houston...the link you shared is almost exactly what I saw at the Tesla location...the cables were so new they still had cellophane protective wrappers on them...and the power cabinet is also there and I can confirm it was active and I heard relay switches go off when I started charging ..I didn't need the charge but only did this as an experiment upon seeing the v4 chargers...was hoping to get over 47kw...ph well

While that has the new v4 dispensers I'm pretty sure that's a still a V3 power cabinet which makes it one of the 325kW max "V3.5" locations.

I have a question. I’m looking at the Tesla Supercharger site in Wickenburg, Arizona. My Lucid App says it isn’t compatible with my GGT. The Tesla App says it is compatible with my GGT. I recently sold my AGT to get the GGT. Why would Lucid say the station isn’t compatible?

Lucid's data on chargers is often inaccurate -- although the phone app is typically much better than the in-vehicle nav here (which is generally hot garbage -- less than 50% of charging stops I've seen represent the site accurately). I would trust the Tesla app here above all else, since it has the hooks to initiate charging for NACS partners regardless.

I was using the phone App. I figured that the Tesla App trumps the Lucid App on this topic. Interesting that Wickeburg has v3.5 stations.

Where? There are no v4 superchargers built to date, to my knowledge. There are some where they have built out the units, but not the power cabinets, making them “v4” in name only (for Tesla or anyone else)

500kW! The V4 Cybertruck charge curve is hilarious. Should be great for the Gravity and other high voltage vehicles though.

Maybe they don't want "Look at how much faster Lucid charges than a Tesla at a Supercharger" videos. Hopefully they're just keeping it Tesla only for the Tesla influencer hype machine and they'll open it up to everyone soon.

Some SuperChargers that are electrically compatible with the NACS spec are restricted by Tesla for Tesla vehicles only because they're considered "congested" sites. Examples are the V3 250KW chargers at Madonna Inn in central California and the ones in Monterey near the Whole Foods.

How long should one wait before unplugging the charging cable?

I have a Gravity Grand Touring that I charge at home using a Tesla charger.
After charging is done and all four lights are green, I press the button on the charging cable,
and the button on the Gravity under the four lights.

In the Tesla, the cable unlocks right away. In the Gravity, there is a long delay (~30 seconds?)
The unlock button has no tactile feedback or light, so I can't tell if I pressed the button correctly?
Should I wait or should I just press the button again?

Do you guys also have to wait for a long time? How long?

I only have to press button on gravity if I am interrupting an active charge. When I do, it unlocks in under five seconds.

Same. I use the NACS charger cable that came with the Gravity, and it releases as quickly as the cables did in our two Teslas, which is to say almost instantly.

I see that you are all using the charging cable that came with the Gravity.

I am using the charger and cable that were already installed in my garage for the Tesla.
That could explain the different behavior.

If you already have a 240-volt plug in your garage, maybe give it a go and see if the unlock delay problem resolves?
