2023 lucid air
So my mobile key has been working great since I got the car last month. Every time I went to garage for whatever reason, Car will get unlocked which was a little annoying but working as expected. About two days ago, Mobile key stopped working, Car does not open when I get to it with phone in hand, app open. Have to unlock using app. Then have to enter PIN to actually drive the car as it is not recognizing my phone as a key.
Did Air Logo reset, disconnected my phone completely from the the car including Bluetooth and mobile key, removed mobile key from the app, reconnected Bluetooth first, car recognized as Luci 682. Bluetooth working for audio. Tried to reconnect mobile key, when searching, app states searching for Lucid 23682. Does not find the car, gives error and not connection.
Did install new update few days ago, so problem did not start immediately afterwards. Nothing else has changed, Not sure why App is looking for some other lucid number than Bluetooth and how to fix it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

It sounds like you deleted the mobile key from the car and tried to add it back in again. Have you restarted your phone, too?

Yes. Restarted the phone as well. Dont know why bluetooth connect to different lucid number while mobile key is searching for different one.

That part is normal. There are two different bluetooth devices in the car to connect to, one for music/calls, one for mobile key. I would suggest forgetting both in your phone, then forgetting your phone in the car's settings both under connected devices and keys. Reboot both the phone and the car for good measure. Then set everything back up.

So I ended up deleting the phone from the car, deleting the car from my bluetooth list on the phone, deleted the app and resinstalled it, restarted the phone and logo reset the car, then went back to connect everything up. and it worked. Guess car just wanted to start from scratch.
Thanks everyone for the help!

I have to do this every couple of months or so. If not, my mobile key gets pretty out of whack. There’s a high chance that you’ll need to do the same.

Hello - new owner here: I picked up my Air Pure last night. It was a disappointing experience for two reasons: 1. they could never set up my phone as a mobile key (spent 2 hours) and 2. strongly suggested it is "my phone" (read: Android). So the remedy suggested won't work for me as there is nothing to delete. Any thoughts or suggestions? thanks

Having issues with automatic trunk unlocking, need to walk to the side of the car so Lucid unlocks and then open trunk, man, Lucid really messed up their key for the Lucid Air….why skimp on this…half the time I’m standing there holding my groceries, trying to get the trunk to unlock. And of course the mobile app takes ages to recognize the car…..I mean, come on Lucid….you couldn’t figure out this is a software game from the get go……

Irritating a shell…..and please don’t tell me to replace batteries, that is plain stupid….i never had to do this in any of my other cars. What’s the point in having a key like this!

Lucid really dropped the ball on this….its pretty embarrassing standing there doing a dance in the parking lot with my 100k car….

Android should not be a problem. All app features on ours work fine with multiple phones. Starting with the basics... On the car's settings, did you know you have to toggle auto open and auto close to 'on'? Also, for a whole host of operations other than auto open/close, be sure to set the app to run in the background. It's in the battery section of the phone's settings. You have to do this with an iPhone, as well. From inside the car, I suggest that you pair the app first. Start by pressing the little phone icon in the upper right corner of the app. If you get through that OK, then pair the phone like you would in any car. For future reference... new OTA updates sometimes cause issues that I can only resolve by using that same app phone icon to have the app forget the car, and then repair both it and the phone itself. Hope this helps...

Thank you - I'll keep all this in mind for when adding other drivers...or need to re-pair.

I did all this today but unfortunately it didn’t work for me - bummer.

I just had the same issue. 2023 AGT with 33k miles. Fobs just upped and stopped working. Both of them. Installed new batteries....no difference. Tried installing mobile key.....error over and over. Support had me try the hard reset...install/uninstall phone, etc. Nothing worked. Lucid is coming to pick up the car Tuesday.

Did you try pressing the trunk button twice. For me, when the car doesn't register me walking up to the back, pressing the trunk button once wakes the car and the 2nd press opens.

Hello @RMSko and @Thinjake. I'm sorry to hear of the problem you both are having with the app's auto open/close function. At the risk of being redundant, here are the specific steps and sequence that has worked well for me. Of course, it's certainly possible that our have some other issue going on, but FWIW...

Make sure your Lucid app has been updated recently, and that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.

Set the app to run in the background. The way to do this seems to vary by phone brand. I do this by long-pressing the app icon. Then clicking on app info. Then clicking on app battery usage. Then clicking on 'allow background usage'.

While sitting inside the car... Open the app. Click on the little phone icon in the top right corner and click on 'remove vehicle'. Then, follow the steps necessary to re-pair the app with the car. These steps are stated quite clearly.

After you do that, delete and then re-pair your phone to the car.

For good measure, do a logo reset.

Last, verify that the car's options in the pilot panel are set to allow the app to automatically unlock and lock the car.

Let me know if this helps. Good luck!

Thanks but I don’t have a phone icon in the top right corner (I’ve attached a screenshot).

Sorry. You must have an iPhone. On your screenshot, I see a 'Link Your Mobile Key' button. Click on that, and there should be a button where you can forget or remove your current connection. The way that button is worded, perhaps you don't have a link activated at all right now.

Exactly - that’s my issue. Linking isn’t working.

Oh! Wow! My apologies. I thought that the link was going through, but that the functions were not working. What was it that Emily Litella used to say? "Oh, well. That's different. Never mind." :-)

Thanks Buffalo Bob, but I have tried all of those steps while on the phone with Customer Support. One other point, the black "key card/credit card thingy, or whatever its called, is not working either.

My car goes in for service on Tuesday.

Got it! Sounds like a good plan. I suppose the car does make a very effective paperweight, but it's much more fun to drive, and getting in would be a key step! Best of luck. Please post here and let us know how it goes.
