Can't Get a Mobile Key To Work: IOS 18.2, Tried all suggested fixes

You should definitely carry all three
No, I will carry mobile and valet card 🤪
My fobs are hidden somewhere under my clothes in my wardrobe.

Carrying 3 forms of entry saved me a headache, as I accidentally left my keyfob in my scrubs jacket pocket and left that in my locker at work, and couldn’t get the mobile key to work, so luckily I had the keycard in my wallet and that opened the car so I could go pick up my dinner. I’m all in favor of redundant backups but that’s just me.

That’s fine. Everyone should do whatever works for them. I am never without my wallet, ever - but I don’t work in an OR. :)

iOS 15? That was replaced years ago. Update your phone to 18.2.
If that was a typo: try resetting your network settings on your phone. Try turning off Wi-Fi in the car.
So sorry. Yes.. TYPO.. 18.2!
Will try both. Thanks. Did not attempt these.

sorry if it was discussed earlier but my fobs dont work. the car was in service already 4 times with this and the problem is that the two bluetooth apparently disturb each other.

I was advised to unlink the mobile key and switch off the lucid app but the fobs still dont work. they dont open/close neither when approaching the car nor when the fobs are clicked. the card works perfectly but it is quite annoying to use a Pin code at every startup.

any suggestions or ideas are appreciated

This may sound silly, but are you using fresh batteries that have been cleaned with alcohol?

iPhone15ProMax. IOS 15.
Tried both types of resets.. and deleted mobile key multiple times.
Phone connects over bluetooth without issue.
I can NOT get the mobile key to work. It pairs, but the BT connection never completes and the car never recognizes the key.
I realize there are threads that advise fixes, this is meant for those that tried all those and failed.
Called customer support, they walked me through the resets. Now escalating to service.
I had this issue with my iPhone 16 Pro and finally resolved the issue by deleting the Lucid app from the phone and reinstalling.

I just got my Lucid yesterday and have not been able to link my phone to the car as a mobile key. I spoke to customer service and Lucid says they are aware of the issue and their techs are working on it and should have a resolution in the next few days. They said it has something to do with their cloud and it's also impacting phones that have been linked.

In case others have similar issues, here's what happens with me: Everything works fine through pairing, but as soon as I hit "continue" on the car screen after it pairs, the Lucid app on the phone closes on its own. The car screen continues the process and gives a message that the phone link was successful. However, when I go back into the phone app, it still shows it as unlinked and tells me I need to link it. I have (i) uninstalled and reinstalled the app, (ii) have removed the linked phone in the car and (iii) deleted the Bluetooth connection, but nothing works. I even tried it with my wife's phone and got the same unsuccessful result. So it does seem like the problem is on Lucid's end.

Did you ever get this to work? I’m having the exact same problem.

For the 84th time: I have no issue with you carrying whatever you want. You do not *need* to carry both your fob and your valet card. Carrying one of them in addition to your phone is a good idea. But carrying both the fob and the card is unnecessary, because the fob works just fine even if it’s dead, in the same way as the card.

I don’t know how to be more clear. If you carry the phone, you should carry one of the other two as well, if only because the phone battery might die.

But carrying both the fob and the card is unnecessary.

I hope that is clear.
I agree. For me. one reliable backup is adequate. I went through my moment of concern when I was replacing my phone. I had driven to the phone company store and while I had intended to take my fob, I forgot. I realized that I was dependent on my phone working as it was in the middle of the software install. I was ready to try out the Waymo service and would use it to go home and get my fob when the phone install finished and, lo and behold, it worked. So I still haven't tried out Waymo.

But, I suppose, it depends upon one's risk profile. I am moderately risk averse. To me, one backup is sufficient if that backup is fairly reliable. To me, that means carrying the fob as well as the phone. But clearly the valet card is much easier to carry if one is less risk averse. On the other hand, some might be so risk averse that they want a double backup and want to carry both.

There are enough stressors in modern life that we don't need to increase them. Personally, I am with @borski for me; others can reasonably decide otherwise for themselves.

I got locked out of my car a little over a week ago; finally got it unlocked via the app. Neither fob nor mobile key would work. My other fob wouldn't work either. And the card (don't leave home without it) wouldn't work either. I called my local Lucid service and they said a sensory node went down and for security, all went down (as expected.) That disabled everything but the app, and I had to use the PIN to drive. They got me right in (I had to get the annual service anyway), and they were right. They found the bad node, replaced it, and now everything works. I'm not worried about carrying all three items, just my phone with the app. If a node goes down, the security protocol clams up the car.

I got locked out of the loaner on the 3rd night that we had it as I wasn't used to carrying the fob around, and at the time the backup card was in the plastic sleeve with the FOB.

I called Lucid CC and they got it open WHILE I was explaining how I got into that situation. So, keep in mind that there is a nuclear option, too.

They said it happens on the daily with loaners as owners who rely on Mobile Key or the Mobile App aren't always great at switching over to the fob which essentially amounts to a set of keys that you're not used to carrying. And yes, the fob was sitting in the cupholder, the only dead spot that would've prevented me from opening the doors anyway.

I’m not able to get mine to work. After I hit pair on my phone I then hit continue on the car’s pilot screen and as soon as I do that the phone app closes on its own. The car says it’s linked but the app says it’s not. Am I doing something wrong?
