Lucid Party @ Gravity Reveal-LA AutoShow November, 2023?

Dream edition confirmed, Lucid is going for a different font aesthetic with the gravity(i love it) and FINALLY we have brown leather! The Air was supposed to have it, but big basin got thrown away for some reason. I do hope the front seats are a different color, but it would make sense as with the gravity all rows should be "loungy."

Front seat teaser is too blurry to make out details.

And here is more exposure on the outside teaser, doesnt matter much as we have a clear picture of the front.

In most cases, I agree it was not true. Something will always evolve for the better, so you cannot compare general time periods. However, in specific cases it can be true, and I think that would apply to Los Angeles.

A reverse example is here: they arent built like they used to...

LA was definitely not better 13 years ago, it's improved immensely the past decade. Anyways, WAIT LIST ONLY NOW for the event. If ya didn't get in, ya not getting in!

I was going to make an analogy to Charleston, SC, but I want to keep the topic on track. For those of us moonlighting the natives' turf, I hope we can get a few pointers to not waltz our way into dicey territory.

Joined the chat app thing. I imagine the Lucid owners' party/event will be dressy? Cocktail dresses for the wives? Sports coats for the husbands? Outsider looking in for LA everything seems to be that kind of vibe, including the LA Auto Show and VIP event.

Charleston, SC was always the pastel shirts and shorts for the men and flowy summer dresses for the women. Not a requirement, but the vibe screamed that for tourists.
LA vibes? Jeans and a polo/button down.

Anyways, WAIT LIST ONLY NOW for the event. If ya didn't get in, ya not getting in!
Only for the Lucid VIP experience, right? I can still buy general admission tickets from costco..

It went from really bad, to good, to bad IMO.

Yes, anyone can buy general admission and see Gravity. It will likely be roped off so that you cannot touch or sit in it outside of the VIP event. Even so, Lucid loves their owners so you may be able to get past the rope if you tell them that you are an Air owner.

*7 lol

You would be shocked at how many do, actually. You're late to the party!!

And yes, LA was very good back then. Far less crime, great ambience(there still is to be fair) and the hotels felt like a dream! Petersen automotive museum and the local "cars and coffee" was great too, along with the disneyland and some other stuff I forgot.
Lil' bro you made a comment about LA being nicer when you were 6 years old! At 6, your parents couldn't even leave you home alone. And I'm not sure how I feel about a kid being in this forum. I let the moderators know that.

He's 13!!

Is this from your extensive knowledge of living in the region or your many years of observation from living in the region or...anyways last time I will mention this. Back on track, Gravity!

They know… and most have been fine with it. Think about it this way: had I been an adult, would you have had a problem with my personality or typing manners? In addition, most apps such as Twitter(which i know you use) have a minimum age limit of 13. Secondly, I’m not 13!! 😂

Wait, doesnt the LA auto show have open interiors? Thought I saw that on their website. Then again, lucid said “an exclusive interior tour“ in that letter.

Parents DID live in LA for a period of time, but I agree to go back to gravity!

So you just turned 14? 😂 😂 😂 And, had I known you were a kid, I would have toned down a bit of my posts. I was raised with the children should be "seen and not heard" or "stay in a child's place" mantras.

I mean no slight to you and do not intend to be mean, but I completely disagree with those mantras. Children should absolutely be heard no matter how young they are, as they have the best imaginations and creative thinking. It also encourages them to pursue whatever they want and feel as they have a voice. Don’t forget, you were once a child!

And you would be shocked at the language being used at my school… curse words are normal(which is “fine”) and even slurs are, which I find absolutely outrageous. I did notice that your language is a bit.. spirited, lol, but I have found absolutely no problem with it. Keep doing what you do!

We can continue this conversation in DMs further if you would like, but we really got to get back to gravity!

Also, am I the only one who finds that striped trim extremely tacky? I hope it is made out of carbon fiber/wood and not plastic. This could be the sapphire being shown, as the steering wheel had an alcantara stripe.

I like it from the tiny bit I could see, good thing you aren't their target audience!

Design was nice, but it is hard to see what material they could use for that outside of plastic. Maybe metal? That would be good..

This is the tacky design one I was talking about, as it looks like scratchable piano black with some metal accents. I hope they go the range rover approach where what you think something feels like is what it actually is(metal is actual metal, etc). In that case, I have no problem. Mercedes has a similar design in their cars with their manufaktur Piano Black stripes.

I'm simultaneously excited to see the new Gravity and also ready to be jealous about all the interior improvements (phone chargers, screens, lighting, etc.) they've made since first releasing the Air :)

Agreed. I'm really hoping they listened to feedback to improve some of the interior quirks. Also excited to see some brand new features and touches!

I'm also looking forward to see the Gravity up-close in person. Just curious, what interior features you find quirky?
