Thanks for including me, I’ll be there since I haven’t missed an LA auto show in years but I don’t even know what telegram is, I’ll download it and check it out.

So VIP event is Friday night and only dreamers were invited and the meetup of us commoners would be Saturday?
 
Planning to fly in Friday afternoon to have a few hours at the show before Lucid event. Then out Saturday. I hate to miss a convoy of Lucids driving in. That will be awesome.

Telegram is an encrypted messaging app, similar to WhatsApp. WhatsApp is by far the behemoth of the bunch but its connection with Meta (Facebook) has seen its privacy questioned as activist Meta employees have outed their disdain for for certain messaging. That said, Telegram is known as the "Russian" app but the owner says that he has no allegiance to nor will divulge for Putin! Signal is the open source messaging app that, IMHO has the most secure & private messaging app. Now you are up to date from a computers-for-dummies advance beginner (me) tho I'm sure there are others on this forum with WAY more knowledge than me

Saturday there WILL be an event BUT so far nothing official from Lucid yet. If it comes down to lil' ol' me organizing it, then so be it, there WILL be an event on Sat. 11/18/23 just no other details yet.

The LA auto show is usually at the LA Convention Center which has tight underground parking. The test drive events for ICE cars are outdoors and it’s a traffic-filled slow drive around the convention center. The EV test drives are indoors but in such small spaces you can only accelerate like 1 second before slamming the brakes so both are anticlimactic, more to get a feeling of the car interior and driving position.

Instead of testing the acceleration like that, make the most of your space by doing donuts! Get 1 or perhaps 10 backup sets of tires though..

For those of us who have never done something like this, do we still have to get a ticket for the show to arrive earlier? I got the invite and RSVP'ed.

The time is close to the kid's bedtime, so it would be nice to peruse the other showings before the Lucid one.

Never been VIP anything in my entire life. Interesting experience.

Per the RSVP website, the invite include free entrance to the auto show. The confirmation email has your QR code for entry. I got the invite today too and will be there!

Check-in is at 1800, but we can still go earlier then? Look forward to meeting fellow Lucid owners!

I got the invite this morning too! I wasn't really expecting it. I'll RSVP later when I figure out who my guest is.
