My husband swears he saw one driving up the main street in our neighborhood a month or two ago. I can't verify since I wasn't with him. But as he said, it's not like they look like anything else out there.

I wish it were possible to tell whether the charge port on this vehicle is at the front (per earlier prototypes) or the rear (which is what we have been told to expect on the U.S. production-spec vehicles).

If production vehicles will have a NACS charging port toward the rear, should we be surprised or concerned that these "spotted in the wild" vehicles still have the charging port toward the front (same as with the prototypes that have previously been put on display)? Or is moving the location of the charging port a relatively straightforward aspect of the production process?

They will have to produce both, so nothing to worry about. NACS and the rear location only make sense in the US.

Unfortunately not every car manufacturer realizes this: there are quite a few BEV with the charging port on the rear left in Europe - they just don't bother doing that differently for different markets ...
Even worse: even some cars that AFAIK don't exist on the US market at all still have the charging port on the rear left (like Peugeot E-3008/E-5008).

Uhh..... I wouldn't be so confident on that.

"Gravity charging on Tesla supercharger with native NACS"
This is the first picture I've seen with the charge port in the back. All the previous pictures (at least in this thread) show the front fender charging port. If this is really coming to the production versions, then there is hope that they will have more than 50kW charging.

I am going to point out that the back of the Gravity is similar enough to a Pacifica that when I first saw it that my gut level reaction was “it looks like a minivan”. My wife had an even better response “Lucid is making a minvan?!?!” (said excitedly). The front definitely doesn’t look like one, but I really hope that back doesn’t trigger the ever prevalent “ew a minivan!” reaction from others.

Here are a couple of pictures of the back of a Pacifica for comparison.

@Joe can you say what city you saw that in? And thank you for the pictures!
