Lucid Gravity gaining access to Supercharger network, Air access planned for Q2 2025

I'd have no problem with using an adapter, but if it allows you to maintain sanity, I'm happy for you.
Issue with adapters is that they are constantly getting recalled. I imagine eventually they will mature to the point of being ok, but yea…I would prefer to have a native mechanism without risking putting my car on fire. But that’s just me!

Yup true. But The consensus from most people was that Tesla would not grant Lucid access in time to Superchargers so the Gravity would have never forced to use an adapter at CCS chargers. That would’ve been insanity if it happened
Tesla network is great but limited to 225kW. The 1000V CCS1 chargers with an adapter will hit 400kW. It may be adapter hell, but will also be faster until of course the high voltage chargers have native NACS cables which will start happening this summer. Then everyone, including CCS1 cars, will be in adapter hell.

Unless Lucid has changed the charge curve, I imagine the difference between 400kw and 225 will only be in the first 10-20%. Maybe not a huge difference. But I agree…if Lucid has improved the curve to hold 300+kw past just an initial spike, that would be awesome

200kW to 50% or more so the charging curve has definitely been improved

That’s great! where did you see this?
Gravity has both improved cell chemistry and better pack cooling for more area under the charging curve.

Yes, precisely, the 1000V chargers are going to be faster until you get above 50% SOC.
So 200 miles in 12 minutes means 45%. Which out of a 123kwh battery means 55kwh in 12 minutes. This means an average rate of 275kw/hr.

Instead say you have a flat line of 225kw instead, that would take 14.5 minutes.

So it’s 2.5 minutes faster at 1000V charger compared to a 500V charger.

Is the 225kW the power from the charger or the power into the battery?
What is the efficiency of batteries? energy in vs. energy stored?
It probably won't be quite that fast (though still very good.)

Access to Tesla Supercharger Network Without Adapter

Lucid Group announced that its newly launched Gravity SUV will gain access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network in the United States and Canada starting Jan. 31. With a built-in North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, the Gravity SUV eliminates the need for an adapter to connect to Tesla’s chargers.

Jan 31st, maybe its a clue they will be making deliveries of the Gravity by this date? Hmmmmm

OOS just posted a detailed breakdown with Lucid on Gravity supercharger.

Just when I think I kinda understand all of this.

Electrify America, a high voltage charging provider, indicated they would be providing NACS connectors this summer.
If Gravity has the NACS port wouldn't that mean the high voltage chargers at Electrify America, with NACS connectors could be used w/o an adapter?

Does a native NACS cable, not connector change that?

Perhaps the adapter hell continues because other hv chargers will still have CCS1 connectors?

One step forward, one step back for me. I'll get there or at least closer.

Today Lucid announced that Lucid Gravity is gaining access to the Tesla Supercharger network beginning January, 31, 2025. Read our press release to learn more. We’re working to enable Lucid Air owners to have access to the Tesla Supercharger network in Q2 2025. We’ll share further information, including the exact dates and practical details, once it is available.
Thanks... Any news on Android Auto? (I know .wrong thread but it's getting desperate..plz forgive me)
