Can I leave my Air unlocked while it's parked in my garage? Any reason not to (won't go to sleep etc)?
It will automatically lock when you walk away. Can I leave my Air unlocked while it's parked in my garage? Any reason not to (won't go to sleep etc)?
I think it auto locks & sleeps when you walk away. If you figure out how to leave unlocked in garage, let the forum know. Can I leave my Air unlocked while it's parked in my garage? Any reason not to (won't go to sleep etc)?
Would keep the car awake? My thought so far is that the software was designed to sleep when locked, and prefers the locked state as a result. You could leave the key inside the cupholder and just push the handle when you need to get in
Loading the car up for a trip has the same issue… the car locks and unlocks whenever I go inside and back out with luggage or whatever. Best way around this is to leave the driver’s door slightly open the entire time. Can I leave my Air unlocked while it's parked in my garage? Any reason not to (won't go to sleep etc)?
Yes, it does work that way, but prepare to have more fob batteries in hand like I do.You could leave the key inside the cupholder and just push the handle when you need to get in
I have found that leaving a door open will not prevent the car from locking. The car use to frequently lock while a door was open preventing me from removing the charging cable. This would with 1.x software when the key fob recognition was acting up.Loading the car up for a trip has the same issue… the car locks and unlocks whenever I go inside and back out with luggage or whatever. Could still use the phone app to unlock! If you have the trunk open and lock by means of the left part of the instrument panel and close the doors and then throw in the fob into to cab through the ski opening and then close the trunk you have managed locking youself out unless theres a special trick i havent tried yet. Also given youve forgotten wallet with valet card in cab.
Right - I've had four other EVs, and none of them tied the sleep state to the locked/unlocked status. There is a nice option in Tesla where you can leave the car unlocked while it’s in the garage. I would expect this feature in Lucid soon through software updates.
