I am scheduled to turn in my lease by May 4th. I’m waiting to drive the Gravity before I order. I received a couple of letters asking me to call Lucid Financial to schedule an inspection. Lucid Financial tells me to call Customer Service. Customer Services says they’ll send a message to the correct department and someone will call me with 48 hours. They don’t. I call three times and finally someone does call me back. Answers my questions and says he’ll send me a follow up email with his contact information and the steps to coordinate turn in. Never received the email so contacted Customer Service and they told me I need to call Lucid Financial. Ugh. Not again. Anyone have a contact at Lucid that can actually help?

I am sure that if your lease expires and you stop making monthly payments, they will call you. Haha.

I had the same issue when waiting for delivery after signing the lease. Glad I have just under 2 more years to go for them to get that right. 🙈
Definitely what @Andretex said tho 🤣

Customer Service is a mess. Did you try calling your service center directly? I think you'll get a better response from the group that will probably do your inspection.

I’m having the exact same issue. It’s a mess. Received the letter from Lucid FS saying call to schedule inspection. Lucid FS / BoA have no idea and no contact who can help. Said to try calling Lucid customer service. Called Lucid customer service who said to call Lucid FS…. The Lucid website says call Lucid FS. Currently have a call in with Lucid service who said they’d leave a message with a manager to call me back. Let’s see.

Anyone had any luck navigating all of this?

I was in the exact same spot... complete run-around trying to get the car inspected for a lease-end return.
Oddly enough, when i decided to ask for a 3-month extension, they quickly handled that request and put in place for me. Maybe the gravity will be ready when the extended lease is up.

Do the best you can to contact them. Document everything. Stop making the payments (delete automatic ACH payments) once you made all your contract payments. If nothing happens, enjoy driving the car. Free. Until they come knocking in your door

I hear you. It’s a thought. Am just trying to be proactive and do the right thing, but there’s no logical process here.

this sounds terrible, I hope that this cluster fugg is resolved by them when my lease is up and stories like this are taking getting another air gt out of the equation. Lucid needs to get issues like this fixed because customer service is something that I and many others consider when choosing which car to get.

With the lease extension, did your lease payment change, or was it the same as before?

With the service (lack thereof) issues I've been experiencing with Lucid, that will be a huge consideration when my AT lease is up in a few months...

nope... that's a big problem with lease extensions. had i gone with a longer lease to begin with, my payments would have been less.
Lease extension for Lucid is an easy decision - they're getting more every month from me than the vehicle is losing in depreciation... and they delay yet another used lease return car coming back that has to be sold at a steep discount.

Update: Turned in lease this past Friday. The process itself was smooth. They walked around the car for 10 seconds, checked off a list and I was on my way. The process to get to this stage was absolutely horrible as talked about up top. On top of this, Lucid could not tell me how much they would charge me to have my tint removed. Supposedly my Sales Rep called a couple of time to try and find this out. Since I didn;t like the unknown I paid someone to come last Wednesday and they shattered the passenger side front window. I had to turn it in that way. The service center I turned it into then asked why nobody called them to ask what would be charged since they don't require tint to be removed at all. Can't wait for that unknown repair bill from BOA.

@justjim95 - So what was the workaround to schedule the return date and inspection - Did you reach out to Lucid Studio, Lucid financial services or a mix of both ? My lease return date is in September end and I have received an initial letter from LFS with the same options as you mentioned in the original post.

Reach out to the local studio or service center where you want to return and they will coordinate. There is no pre turn in inspection. They just do it when you turn it in.
