thank you! ....i'm sure they can answer this question.. but do you off hand know what the possibility of extending my lease 'mileage'? while I totally don't have range anxiety.. I sure do have 'lease miles' anxiety. *this i my first leased car, and love driving it too much and constantly calculating miles with every weekend drive.

That is a very cool option. I sort of went the other way... had/have a Gravity on order, but drove the Air and loved it so I took one and started an 18-month lease on the Air - as I wanted out of my Tesla. But the Air is winning me over - such a darn good car, I don't really need an SUV (no kids), and I may be a sedan fellow at heart anyway. Still thinking about what to do with my Gravity order, looks like I'll have plenty of time to think about the options before that order starts production.

I checked with the LFS team. We don't offer that option. There is a 25 cents/ per mile charge for excess milage. It's very similar to driving excessive miles on a loan and losing value on the trade-in for being high mileage. The beauty of the lease is that the charge is set as opposed to being up to market value. You might have the option of just paying as a bill at the end or possibly rolling it into your next car deal as negative equity.

This doesn't sound right for an extension.

I assume that was a response to @Joelaron's question (which I read as asking if it is possible to keep the same lease duration but increase the available miles). I would assume that if you extend an existing lease by an additional 5 months, it would include a pro-rata share of miles for each additional month (but that is just my guess).

My understanding was that the original question pertained specifically to extending the lease miles.
I think there was an ambiguity in the question. 😁

If you don't need the added space of an SUV, and don't have a problem getting in and out of a sedan, keep the Air. The Air will always handle better than an SUV and way better than the (ugh) Tesla.

I think you might be surprised at how well the Gravity handles. I wouldn’t recommend putting it in the same “SUV” category you’re used to.
