If you're wondering, just use some masking tape and cardboard to cover the lidar for a quick test.
The sensors are located as low as possible to keep small children safe.

I can back out and go either left or right. Either direction pointed away from garage door no issues at all with garage door.

Edit: For what it's worth I cannot use my Valentine One radar detector, it constantly alarms due to LIDAR.
