My case appears to be different from those here in that the signal records properly, but then Homelink fails its tests.

I got my new Air GT yesterday. Yay. I have tried the following to get Homelink to work:
  1. Simply followed instructions. The car honks/flashes lights and records the signal. Then it fails to communicate with the garage receiver (which is less than 10 feet away). Repeated this 4 times. Same fail.
  2. Called the Lucid customer service number. Guy said try the reset (#3), and if that doesn't work he can't help.
  3. Did a soft reset (X + mic + brake). Then repeated above sequence. Records the signal, fails to communicate with receiver. Just as every time defore.
--I have a Genie Pro (maybe 15 years old, programmed fine with 3 other cars in last 5 years, including a Tesla). The learning button flashes properly when pushed & lasts the 30 seconds. It is still paired just fine with my other car (Lexus).

--I move the car where the front is under the receiver and also just in front of the receiver. No difference.

--Every press of my remote operates the door without fail (and I have 2 remotes, tried them both, they work fine, Lucid recognizes a signal from either one)

Any ideas people? I fear that customer service number will be of no further use in this issue.

It may not be the car. Garage door openers, especially older ones – have a limited number of codes that they can handle. If you have had many cars that you have programmed over the years, you may have to clear all of the codes and start afresh. The instructions to do that will be in the garage door manual.

This may not be the issue, and I definitely didn’t think it applied to me when I tried to program my Tesla, but nevertheless it was exactly what my problem was - put a brand spanking new battery in the remote and try again. I was having exactly the same problem you are describing and my remotes worked fine. I went ahead and put a new battery in, and the programming completed on the very next try. I was shocked and happy after being plenty frustrated - best of luck.
