We live in Naples, Fl. We received the GT right before the hurricane. My insurance covers the first 30 days andI had given my agent the Vin before I got the car. We live well east of the gulf. We had no water in our garage, but now the insurance company is raising the issue of insuring an electric car in a flood prone area. In our case it is ridiculous as Ian was the worst storm surge ever to hit Naples. Clearly a huge issue for the industry. My agent says not to worry, but I would hope Lucid, Tesla and the rest get behind bringing a rational approach here as it could hurt us all. The insurance company didn't say anything about all the gas powered cars that were destroyed. I have a number of friends whose cars were totaled. Lucid did send out an e-mail to all of us near the coast to say don't start the car if it had been under water until they inspected it but as I said we didn't have any water in our garage.
