I hope the Reddit news is accurate! Jason Cammisa was there, according to this tweet from Jordan of OOS.I hesitate to post this, as no source was given for the information . . . but someone posted on Reddit that the Gravity press embargo was going to lift on December 9.
Maybe there was an agreement that all the reviewers would step off the line at the same time, and time would be given to those reviewers who actually take time to edit their reviews?
So, who else besides "Out of Spec Motoring" was there for test drives?
I'm assuming "Motor Trend", since their Johnny Lieberman was the first to do a completely independent review of the pre-production Air? And "Car & Driver", which rode along on some of the first range tests of the pre-production Airs? And perhaps other outfits that test drove the Gravity beta prototype eons ago: "Top Gear" and "Throttle house"?

You are on to something here. Lucid expects people will likely use Sanctuary mode while charging. If charging at EA, that means the back corner of a Walmart parking lot adjacent to the dumpster.I think a better demonstration of the utility of Sanctuary mode (if there really is such a thing) would be with the car facing a dumpster in an alley. But even then, I might find waiting to see what next goes into or comes out of the dumpster to be more interesting.

You have a future in marketing!I've got the campaign reboot all worked out:
First, a shot of a Gravity in an alley by a Walmart with a dumpster in front of the car and the screens blacked out. The caption reads:
"When life takes you here . . . "
Next, a close-in shot of the Gravity Sanctuary screens. The caption reads:
"Let us take you here . . . "
Closing caption:
"Lucid . . . when you want to be somewhere else."
Give it a day.I'm starting to think the rumor that today would see the lifting of the press embargo on test drives was false.
I wonder how many more people are going to order these things with nothing more to go on but the incomplete information on the order configurator. It's anecdotal, but the reporting of new orders on this forum has slowed to a crawl (currently 67 out of almost 6,000 members).
I've only had two very brief conversations with the delivery advisor assigned to me but, based on what others have posted here, it seems the Lucid sales staff is still completely in the dark about anything not posted on the Lucid website -- and we're over a month past orders opening up.
Give it a day.
I was surprised at how much my wife liked it. I don’t get it. But she loved it. Of note, the plan is to use the surround sound to “make you feel like you’re there” along with subtle wind from the HVAC, etc. It is more immersive and relaxing than it sounds. With a panorama of a beautiful forest spread across the outside field of view, Lucid somehow thinks you should be staring at a video screen for relaxation. This seems to be more a commentary on the modern confusion of video content with real life than a demonstration of how the Gravity is advancing another frontier of automotive design.
There is. I’ve used it.I think a better demonstration of the utility of Sanctuary mode (if there really is such a thing)

I’ve thought for a while that they are not completely in the dark. I believe they are told what not to say publicly. They know things but they’re instructed not to speak about these types of things.I'm starting to think the rumor that today would see the lifting of the press embargo on test drives was false.

“I see it as disconnecting. You get rid of every notification and all of the things in all of the screens, and it’s essentially do not disturb. There is nothing on the screens but pretty. No calls, no texts, nothing at all. I don’t care if it matches the scenery behind it. It is a pleasant DND that you can set for 10-15 minutes or whatever. Because otherwise you’re just staring at a dumpster and you might as well just look at your phone.”That's interesting. There were several comments on Reddit saying the same thing -- the husbands were skeptical, but the wives were loving it.
Yep, I know the feature is real. I was just wondering whether it really makes you feel as if you were in a sanctuary.
Now, off to tell the dog she's about to go for her daily ride. The excitement just never ends around here.
