HomeLink Auto Opening

This is a very strange phenomenon. I had 3 instances where after I had setup HomeLink in my Lucid, my garage door would automatically open by itself. This happened twice when the car was not home and happened once when the car was parked in the garage. Anyone having this issue as well?

Only started happening after I setup HomeLink in Lucid. I don’t get it.

The problem is with your garage, not the car.

Do you have a Liftmaster 888LM button controller on the wall? These have a defect and can be replaced by Liftmaster. Both of mine failed with one auto opening my garage door.

UPDATE: Yes, I have the Liftmaster and it is the garage motor unit causing this problem. Resetting it solved the problem. IF it does not, the logic board needs to be replaced as it could be faulty per Liftmaster rep. Hope this helps anyone else who ran into this issue.

HomeLink and Proximity. When I was taking delivery of my Air Touring I asked my delivery specialist about proximity. Would the HomeLink open my garage door when I was close to home. The reply was no, but they are working on it. Yesterday when I approached my driveway, the display presented the HomeLInk screen. First time that happened. Today, when I was driving home and approached my driveway it presented again. Has anyone else had that experience?

That is always the way it worked. By proximity, they mean automatic activation of the Homelink.
