HELP - Factory Tour or HQ Experience?

But wouldn't those be different as they are assigned an actual value? For example, I don't believe points have a cash conversion value, meaning they theoretically have "no" value and are just worthless to anybody outside Lucid. Or maybe they just base it off of the merch you can buy with referral points and also crucially have a cash value?
Points do have a cash conversion value, always, by law. For example, United values theirs at 2 cents, even though everyone else values them at 1.5 cents at best.

For a great time, go watch “Pepsi, where’s my jet?” on Netflix

I’m sad I’ll never be able to experience in n out, after reading a book about the fast food industry as a whole!
I was left extremely unimpressed and did order from the “secret menu”.

Being near a plethora of food near I-Drive in Orlando, many of these places are extremely overrated¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

We just got a Kanes near us, another overrated place next to White Castle.

I think Portland was the only other place I left impressed by the food. But everything else is fairly disappointing there. There was a reason they’re known for nightlife, booze, and food.

Yeah. It’s true. Their burgers taste “fine”; but for the price you can’t beat em, and they’re never frozen.

Their fries are decent if you get them well done.

This was something that took 6 months to plan with Lucid with them nicking and attempting to reschedule the tour 3-4 times.

I finally called it as they seem to think my plans can always change on a whim.

This added to another one of the terrible encounters I've had with their atrocious customer facing side of things and I'd consider it nothing short of embarrassing. After they tried to reschedule it for a 4th time, I just asked for a point refund -- and they are trying to negotiate that the points are non-refundable. It's not like the store has too many decent options on it, but in all seriousness the fact that they can't even keep commitments on multiple timelines over a +6 month period to rewards they were offering and THEN push back on a reward refund.

I don't understand why I'm a glutton for punishment with Lucid. I do love my car, but I truly loath their customer relations departments.

They are knee deep in getting ramped up for Gravity. Hang in there.

That's not really an excuse for something they chose a date for after 3 reschedules. This is entirely on them.

There's no hanging in there when I have a laundry list of encounters like this with them. It's definitely not a one off. It's not like I'm going anywhere, but it's a massive hole in the company that needs to be addressed.

If it’s the factory tour, I do know that they’ve had logistical issues with giving tours due to starting Gravity production, and that would mean quite a bit of proprietary and protected items and areas you wouldn’t be able to access. My guess is it wouldn’t be worth it for you to tour at this time. I have full confidence they will resume these when timing works better.

It's both the HQ and the Factory Tour.

In the end though, this has spanned out an extremely long timeframe with plenty of time for logistics. Should a company really offer an incentive that reschedules multiple times and ultimately takes > 1 year to execute on?

They should just have offered something else in substitution and called it a day -- they have not. (I would have happily taken a paid for dinner/vacation elsewhere)

An “extremely long timeframe” is subjective at this point. It’s a free tour, wouldn’t stress about it. I have faith they will do the right thing when it makes logistical sense to do so.

Again, they have Gravity development going on that they aren't ready to show just yet. Enjoy the car and hang in there.

Yeah, we'll have to entirely disagree on that -- and "wouldn’t stress about it" is a ridiculous statement given the assumption about work/life situations.

Providing a years worth of flexibility, PTO and life rescheduling for multiple people (+1) and so on for a company for something this straight forward is just in poor taste. Mind you, I work for OEMs on their software stacks. I've taken multiple HQ/Factory Tours. This isn't my first rodeo. It's inexcusably in poor taste and is not a reward atm. Nor have they done the right thing in substitutions.

I live in Tucson and took the factory tour which was awesome since I'm a retired aerospace engineer. The highlight of course was Peter Rawlinson was there and I got to meet him and shake his hand. Our short conversation went as follows:

Steve - I'm a retired engineer and in my experience if you give an engineer a second chance to do anything, it will be better!
I of course was referring to his experience at Tesla and then his second chance being Lucid.
Peter - I would like to think I'm still an engineer!
Who can design that he's still an engineer with the several patents and personal contributions to the Lucid design

I don’t believe what I said in any way amounts to a “ridiculous statement “. Maybe take a couple deep breaths and try and be a little more patient and reasonable. I can see you’re frustrated, and I get that. “Providing a years worth of flexibility and life rescheduling” is a bit of a stretch. The referral program hasn’t even been out for a full year, and they just haven’t been able to get it scheduled for you *yet*. They aren’t taking something away, there’s just a delay in being able to accommodate you and your guest. It’s not like you paid for something and they aren’t delivering. It’s a free gift that you earned by referrals. I’m sure it’ll work out eventually, but complaining on the forum about this seems like a waste of energy. Go for a beautiful drive in your car to somewhere fun instead, grab a beer, and make it a great day :)

That's quite literally what is/has happened. It's not exaggerative, nor is it a stretch. My engagement with this entire thing was around September of last year, their rescheduling efforts after multiple times started attempting to reschedule for September of this year. Downplaying facts for a calmer narrative and setting this type of tone is in all meanings absurd and ridiculous. Also acting as if I new to these experiences and a backlog of similar interactions with Lucid is -- silly. I'm not looking to be dismissive and accepting of poor customer experiences (you might be).

I unfortunately have a known relationship with many of the HQ folks (old and new) for better or worse due to consistent problems/issues and poor customer handling. As of now, 3 people have rotated owning this program over the past half year.

You started this thread on Dec 29. So you are saying you had been negotiating with Lucid in September before you had points? I'm confused as to the timeframe here.

Also, the referral program kicked off in October. You saying you had pre access??!??!

I was in dialog with them prior to starting off this thread as I was attempting to plan ahead of time to account for any issues. September/October - I may not be exact on the months but it was 100% > 1 month prior to starting this thread.

With that being noted, it would seem immediately after posting this follow up they refunded my points...
