Gravity Delivery Discussion

I don’t think so. My SA and I sat at her computer and looked at the vehicles in the queue. Since I’m leasing, I’m a little less picky on options. In the end I looked at a number of vehicles that were close to my wish list and which would be delivered before November 1st. The one I’ve ordered might be delivered before October 1st. My perfect configuration likely wouldn’t have made it this year.
I took the same approach since I leased. Wanted the car sooner.

There’s no difference for the mats, is there? You’d use all the pieces of the 7 seater still. If you have the five seater, the second row still has the motors, so you’d need and want the same protection in the “gap” area behind the second row…that’s probably why they only sell one variation.
From experience, I say this is 100% correct.

We did not like the Yosemite (white) interior at all when we saw it under showroom lighting because of that blue tint. However, when we went for a test drive a few weeks later at a different studio and were put in an Aurora Green with Yosemite interior, we promptly switched the order for our second Gravity DE to the Yosemite interior. (We have the Tahoe in our first Gravity DE, and those are the only two interiors available in the Dream Editions.)

Actually, we took a friend to the test drive, and all three of us were very much taken with the Yosemite interior when seen in sunlight where the blue tinge disappears.
I actually saw it first on my test drive but it was overcast. I’ll end up keeping it because I’ve grown to like light interiors and I hate tan/beige. I’ll just have to get used to it. Tesla does call their Ultrawhite, which I guess it is.

Has anyone received the Lucid Gravity speed form model yet? I received the email from Mr Winterhoff on Aug 13 saying that they would send it to me in the mail. Not that I really want it, just curious.

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t there a difference in the 2nd row floor mats between 5 and 7 seat variants? It appears so in the online configurator: the 7-seater 2nd row mats have a series of “notches” to accommodate the 2nd row sliding forward on rails (presumably for third row passenger access) while the 5-seat variant is a solid uninterrupted mat.

I have a related question for those who have taken delivery of the 7-seater. If this is really true and the mat has these notch/slits in it, in my experience smaller carpet sections like this can get slippery and/or not want to stay in place, especially when you put any kind of lateral load on them - like throwing a bag in or stepping into or out of the car. Unless they’re somehow held in place (Velcro, hooks, etc). Has anyone experienced any trouble with this?

I wonder if those emails were based on how long you've had an order? I didn't get it when they went out so no speed form for me I guess?

I ordered last December. Changed my configuration a few times, now AG, stealth, 20/21 tires, 5 seats, Ojai leather, dynamic handling, convenience and comfort, power. Still in order confirmed state.

They “lock” in place with the same mechanism as the carpet except they don’t have Velcro like carpet does (though you could add that if you wanted with Velcro off Amazon). There’s a sort of plastic piece on mat that you push into flooring in Gravity.

Cool, so the "tabs" don't slide around in your experience? I fear they could be treacherous for older folks (like me lol) getting in and out, maybe it slips as I step in and pull a groin, or worse....

No, they don’t slide at all. Also, but for the front mats, there’s not much of a lip on the mats.

LinerX should have them relatively soon. If you can, I’d wait for those.

I asked 3d Maxpider about availability of floor mats. They still need to do a 3D scan of a gravity before they will have availability. That is my preferred brand.

I'm not a big fan of non-carpet mats, especially in a luxury vehicle. If I really destroy a mat, I'd rather buy a new aftermarket carpet mat than deal with a rubber one every day. Just seems like an incongruous element. Fortunately, I've been lucky even living dangerously for my whole life. Also, I don't have any small kids around anymore either.

Today I will spill an entire cup of coffee on my beige floor mats because I tempted fate with this post.

For those of us in the snow and muck, I have the exact opposite position.

Kids, cleats, boots, snow and dogs mean I have to use non-carpet mats.

I finally took delivery today of my Black GGT with the missed wheels, DDP, comfort, surreal pro and tow. Great car so far. Only has a few issues at delivery (paint swirls and panel on the seat). I was disappointed I wasn’t allowed to drive the car before accepting delivery. That’s a bit nerve racking. But the one bug I have is the GPS. It’s as if the car generally knows where it is, but not precisely enough to navigate. So it’s constant rerouting. I did a few resets to no avail. I’m even impressed the walk up and away locks work with the key fob. Anyone have this GPS problem before?

Congratulations! Love it! Other than @hmp10 i think maybe one other person here had issues with GPS.
