Gravity Delivery Discussion

Can confirm. GGT w/ no HUD there are no LEDs in the upper part of the door. The ambient lighting is pretty much just in the footwells which sucks. Not to mention the preset “colors” are themes and the colors aren’t that bright.
Right - it’s about the tech package, but that (I thought) was having colors change not no lights at all. A few folks with GGTs have said they DO have ambient lighting there and the GGT in the Tysons studio has it as well. I think there’s some sort of bug, but idk. I don’t have tech package and only have a light on the windshield spine thing. While it’s not supposed to be “dynamic” without the tech package, I think those lights should still be there and work, perhaps just not all the colors? I don’t particularly care, but would be nice to know for sure. Kind of a dumb thing to make someone pay more for, but, whatever..I still love the car.

If you have a GGT non tech and you see more ambient lighting, let us know please…

Yeah I much prefer understated lighting anyways in comparison to something like Mercedes EQS which is basically strip club lighting, but no lights at all except footwell doesn’t sound like that’s on purpose for the Gravity.

Yeah, I thought it had more lighting on the doors, but I hadn't driven much at night, but went out last night to verify. There's light in the cup holder area as well, but nothing on the doors or dash on the GT. Kinda sad but the fact I've gone two weeks and hadn't noticed, means it really doesn't have that much impact. The inside is such a high quality experience regardless.

Anyone having wind noise issues? Above 50mph it sounds like a window is open on the front passenger side. I was told give it a few days for the seal to settle in. Anyone experiencing this?

Yes! It appears the window is not aligned properly on our car (probably yours too). We can see it from the outside. The Lucid tech agreed when he saw it, so when they take my car in to the shop for the frunk, they will look at the window as well.

Any deliveries in Portland or or Vancouver wa area

Not sure, but below are the OR deliveries according to the trackers.

I sent an email to my SA yesterday (who I was reassigned to from my original SA back in June). A couple hours later I got a phone call from my *new* SA. He seemed much more communicative. My previous SA provided no proactive comms and took days to response to any messages. When I did reach him he was a bit difficult to communicate with and wouldn't acknowledge that he didn't have answers/didn't know.

Anyway, my new SA said a batch # has been assigned to my build and I have a "broadcast date" of 8/22. It sounds like that's when I'll switch from Order Confirmed to In Production with a VIN assigned. He estimated about 2 months to delivery after that point. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks!

He also mentioned there's a Black Gravity (didn't get the specifics of the config) that's been sitting for a few weeks because it's homologated for Canada and they can't reassign it to the US even though it matches some existing configs waiting for delivery.

OR orders:

Wow -- one of the few problems anyone has reported that we haven't had with our Gravity. We took a short road trip last weekend and hit speeds to which I won't admit, and we were very impressed with how quiet the cabin was. Much less wind noise than in our Air. About the only thing we really heard was tire hum. We even passed large semis in almost dead silence.

Oh don’t worry, I immediately was having key fob issues the moment I got home. I was given two fobs and two cards. I know someone high up at Lucid that said always carry the card with you for now and they are working like crazy to get the issues resolved.

My SA told me to always carry card as soon as he handed me the fob and key card!

Thankfully, no. Drove a bunch on highway at 70+ and was really quiet. Hopefully, it doesn’t become an issue…

How did your window look? Here is mine, passenger front.

One thing that I'll say is very interesting and speaks to the quality of the vehicle - while many of us are experiencing issues, they're *generally* fixable in the short term and don't distract from the main benefit of the Gravity - that it drives and handles exceptionally well, and that the size and configuration meets many of our needs that no other vehicle on the market does. So I appreciate everyone's constructive feedback, and it's helpful to see others taking some of these early issues in stride, much as we are. Anyone who is reading this thread as a prospective purchaser hopefully is taking the positives away, as they should.

100%

So far so good for us, no issues yet and entire family enjoying the comfort. Granted I haven't had time to try too many things yet but no key fob issue or anything of note so far.

Confirming no tech package, regular audio and no dream drive pro. Only regular dream drive. Not upgradable to DDpro since it requires additional cameras, so no hands free driving. And for anyone interested- configuration below available for delivery in 2 weeks.

I beleive you can at least upgrade to Dream Drive Premium though, correct? via a software upgrade

We got the same email about our Gravity Dream Edition order.

This production ramp up has been even more plagued with problems and delays than the Air ramp up on the heels of the COVID pandemic with all its supply chain interruptions. Perhaps a symptom be being a small automaker with limited leverage over suppliers combined with moving on so many engineering fronts simultaneously in the middle of tariff turmoil in the market?
