Gravity Delivery Discussion

My in production GGT suddenly shows a pick up location on the dashboard. Still says "in production". Does this mean anything? Trying to get my hopes up 😉

When my in production GGT showed a pick up location it meant it was enroute to that pick up location.
Initially, my pick up location was the service center where the PDI was done.
It changed to my home once PDI was done and it was ready for home delivery.

YMMV; perhaps contact your SA.
I called my SA the day after the first pick up location appeared and she confirmed enroute to service center.

Awesome. That's great news. Although most likely my SA is going to continue to ghost me. The folks on this forum have been way more helpful answering my questions...

Just test drove the Gravity again in West Palm this morning. It’s such a fantastic vehicle. So well put together and everything feels nice. We updated our options to the Tahoe leather and mid-size wheels from the base size and Ojai leather. Hoping that pushes us up in production!

This forum.
The word is out about this forum. :)

When the Delivery Specialist contacted me on delivery day for the virtual walk-through, he asked how much I knew about the car.
I told him I'm a member of the owners online forum.
He replied "Then you probably know more than I do". :)

I took delivery just over a week ago.
I’m in Park City, UT and my SA and closest Lucid Studio is Denver. I was curious where your delivery and the PDI took place - at the mall or is there a separate service center in Denver? Also, how was the delivery/overview/setup go?

At the mall, in the parking lot. The light isn't 100% wonderful in there, so tough to see everything like paint, etc., but the team there is incredibly helpful and is already good about making sure we get our due bill items checked, whether found out during the delivery process or after. As I understand, there's a third-party service center ~20 minutes away from the mall where any work would be done.

Delivery was easy - we were one of the first deliveries, so some of it was trial-by-fire, but given everything, it was understandable. Overview was as detailed as could be, and we together noted a few items that needed fixing. Setup was fine, though we (like others) have some issues fully setting things up (can't pair keycards to a profile, can't create a second profile, some random warning lights, some mechanical issues we knew about pre-delivery and they are going to fix as soon as they can, some minor paint issues, etc.). It's all part of being an early adopter, but most importantly the car drives beautifully, looks great in person and certainly has attracted the attention of others who haven't seen the car live.

I do have faith (at least with respect to the Denver studio) that the right teams are in place. They are very good there and are invested in seeing their customers happy and the brand and cars do well.

Did your keycards work? They just couldn’t pair them to your profile?

They work, yes, just can't pair them. More broadly, is anyone able able to pair a second profile to a keycard? Any tricks we are missing?
I was told by the Manager where I took delivery yesterday one can not pair key cards to a profile right now. Has to be “Guest”.

I paired both of my key cards to my profile.
At first the second card kept showing in the Guest profile.
Finally got it to be added as a second card to my profile.

I tried to give the second key card to my wife as backup.
She had me put it in our safe.
Long as she remembers the safe key entry, I'm good.

The hardest part was you have to exit the car, lock it, then use the key card to unlock the car.
Then you have to get inside in time to respond to the message on the screen confirming the link to your profile.
The message doesn't stay up long and you have to make sure you're already in your profile when you start the process.

Cool that’s all I care about, El Wifeo won’t drive the car so I don’t need a profile.

Those having taken delivery, check your washer fluid level.

I had to add a significant amount.
Fluid wasn't showing just below the filler neck as stated in the manual. Kept adding and adding until fluid in sight.

No warning light.
Minor, but still ...
Should be full after only 4 days and I haven't used any.

Did you pay for it? Washer fluid was an option. 🤣

Of course there are are a zillion warning lights but not for that. I will check. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks 🙂. Big help and encouraging. We’ve ordered a white GGT with virtually all options checked - didn’t need the DE’s extra horsepower and wanted the added mileage of a GGT. Our SA says late fall at earliest due to technology package delays… hopefully by Christmas??? 🙄

I did check the manual and this forum to make sure there wasn't some special $100 fluid I needed to buy from the Lucid store. :)
NAPA know how worked.
