Gravity Delivery Discussion

Here’s another data point for everyone.
Non Lucid owner.

4/09/25 GGT Reservation
5/17/25 Test Drive
7/12/25 SA called and I took an orphaned vehicle that was told was already in production. I initially wanted Lunar titanium and all options, switched my order many times, but have a black/tahoe/21/22/7 seats/ all options except tech package.
7/31/25 left the factory
8/05/25 estimated delivery to service center
1 day usually for PDI but SA said they have many vehicles coming in and could take longer.
My dashboard still says in production and I have no software updates listed on the dash either.

It seems location sets priority based on all the deliveries. 11/7 first hour non Air owner in NYC and I am nowhere, as a data point.

Have not heard of a single NY delivery but maybe one in MA

Same, but I wonder if SA impacts the situation. While my SA takes the requisite 2 days to 2 weeks to reply he did offer me two months ago an orphaned GGT which I foolishly turned down (hind sight). I think some of the more motivated SAs might work harder for their customers.

Agree on “foolishly turning down”. There were several inventory cars at and of June/early July and I held out for perfection. Which means I passed on all and now feel foolish…I am expecting delivery of my GGT by end of year. My GDE I expect by end of Q12026. We shall see

My Gravity has been delivered to the service center, but I still don't see any s/w versions in my Lucid account..

Anyone else in same situation?
@FeelLicks
@indigo6

I've read posts where s/w versions show up by time of transport to a service center.
Mine didn’t show any software versions until after delivery. Even when preparing for delivery it displayed an “unknown error”

Delivered yesterday! Took an orphaned vehicle a few weeks ago. Only things that differ from my original spec are larger wheels and no power package. (And the paint and seats technically. But once I saw AG + Tahoe in person I was sold) It seemed like even though power package was not a “Fall Delivery” option, none of the cars that were available had them.

Car has had a few issues so far, but nothing major.

Beautiful!

And I think you’re right about power. For whatever reason, most of the inventory cars I’ve been offered have no power package.

One thing I will comment on is that I am fairly sensitive to ride quality and the large wheels actually impressed me. I test drove a studio vehicle a few days prior on the 21/22 and it didn’t feel all that different to me. Could be because of the sky high tire pressures these cars run, but normally I would expect a smaller wheel with a bit more sidewall and a touring tire at that to be much more comfortable. Pirelli did a great job with the PZ5!

Congratulations!!! How long did it take? A couple hours?
Thanks! Not long at all- probably an hour tops, I went towards the end of the day so they were closing up after I took delivery.

My exact config, but not mine :-(

Yeah in spite of small wheels those look awesome without the covers. Curious what the range hit would be with them off. I think the Air 19s only had like a 10 mile range loss with them off. I took a loaner Air GT to New Hampshire without the range covers on and it still got 4.0 mi/kwh if I remember correctly.

Need some input from friends on the forum…

I’ve been holding out for power package - though we don’t camp and I don’t have a huge need. It’s come in handy a couple of times in our R1S, but won’t get heavy use.

Now, considering inventory cars without power, but every other option I wanted. Should I make the leap? Or hold out?

I am trying to justify by saying I can buy a huge Anker power box with outlets if I really need it. Also, the USB-C ports are fairly powerful. I am never going to hook up a grill or fridge.

Trade off is really delivery timing. I think my GGT as spec’d, is probably not coming until year end at best. Don’t have to get rid of existing cars, but one of them is driving me crazy (no name as I don’t want to focus on that…)

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

just get a 12v inverter for when you need power. I THINK you still have the 12V regardless of power package.
