Gravity Delivery Discussion

ugh well that makes me feel bad as I guess there's something "wrong" with my DE. Hope they can fix it quickly; maybe they ran out of modules when building these things?
The module was in mine they just needed to push a software update to the car (version still remains 3.2.0 after it’s performed). It was done by a service technician though so not sure if it’s OTA doable or has to be booked in.

FWIW, my Gravity came equipped with Homelink already. Good thing is it spans across profiles!
(So does Air’s Homelink; they fixed this many updates ago in 2.4

“All your programmed Homelink devices can now be used by all the profiles associated with your vehicle. You may have to reprogram your Homelink devices in case you do not see it in the updated list.”)

My second key fob and "Homelink installation" are on a due bill.

Saw the blueish wispy artifact from the HUD. Definitely a sun interaction of some sort. It was not affected when I tried polarized sunglasses--though the HUD itself disappeared with the sunglasses.
Replying to myself...
My wife, Tonya, had a test drive in the GGT from 1-2pm today. Weather was overcast with light sprinkles.
She saw the blue wispy HUD artifact. For her, sun angle didn't seem to change it--but the sun was higher in the sky and it was overcast.
Also, turning off the HUD had no effect.

However, she found that shifting her eye position higher (raising her seat) would change the size or make it go away completely. So it seems to be dependent, at least partially, on the viewer's position.

The HUD reflection will get you eventually, it all depends on the sun angle and car position. Sometimes, you see little and some times a lot. Yes, if I just shift or tilt my head, reflection will be not visible. But this seems to be a design problem, which I’m surprised they have not caught during the hot Arizona suns. Non of my other cars with HUDs have this issue. It seems to be reflecting off the coating of the glass that covers the HUD opening.

Have any of the folks who have their Gravity had any issues or tried charging at networks other than Tesla? I ask bc the Tesla app is the only major app that has the Gravity listed as an option to add your vehicle. EA, ChargePoint, EVGo and few others, even ABRP (not charging app but still popular for EV routing) does not have the car available yet to add. I am curious if for networks without plug n charge or payment thru Lucid and it's app could cause issues when the Gravity plugs in and the station does not recognize the vehicle and doesn't charge or is unable to use discount rate plans.

I successfully plug-and-charged at EA. I believe only Tesla and EA support plug-and-charge -- any other CCS will require card payment at the terminal.

Thanks! The other networks have apps too (I have them all I think, gosh they need a one app to rule them all...)

We're picking up our Gravity from the PPF installer tomorrow and bringing it home for a couple of hours before taking it to the radar/laser installer. We want to download the 3.2.1 update and try to figure out what features can be activated at this point. I'm especially curious whether we can expect 3.2.1 to have resolved some of the issues we've already seen with our car.

For those of you who already have your Gravities, a few questions:

Homelink: There are varying reports from early owners. Some said they could program it with no problem, others that their car was missing a hardware module that would be installed later, and others that said the module was there but had to be activated by a mobile service tech. (I called Lucid Customer Care to see if they could figure out whether our serial number had the module or not. They did not know but said they have heard all those reports, that there are ongoing problems with Homelink, and they have been instructed to say only that there are software issues that are still being worked out with the Homelink organization.)

Facial Recognition: Is the facial recognition camera working? Can profiles be set up using it?

Spotify: Have Spotify problems been resolved?

Navigation/Satellite Location: Are the navigation system and the mobile app accurately showing the location of your car? (One person reported that a mobile tech had to reload 3.2.0 before their location was accurate, and Customer Care told me that a mobile tech would have to do the same for us.)

I can only reply to the location question since my car has been at the PPF installer since the day after I got it. It is showing correctly.

YMMV. Mine wasn't working at delivery, and I haven't really poked at it because I park outside.

This feature is completely not present. You cannot even set up face scans.
Spotify: Have Spotify problems been resolved?
Seems so?

Also works for me. I've only seen one mention so far of a nonfunctional GPS requiring reload. Weird bug.

There aren't problems once the car recognizes it exists. It either needs the module or a software update to activate the module. Both are quick fixes, so if yours doesn't work right away (or displays the QR code), Lucid service can fix this quick.

No, afaik. But I haven't tried very much.

Yes.

Have had no issues.

I had to turn the auto open upon arriving as it would trigger multiple times both arriving and leaving. I was driving away one day and saw the door opening again so at that point I turned that feature off. Also, don't go switching profiles with that setting enabled as it will trigger the door every time you switch.

That being said, Homelink without the additional settings enabled works as it does on any other car once configured.
