Gravity Delivery Discussion

I think this is because it is unlikely to ship with the wall charger for the lower trim models. Much like the Air, most people don’t use the charger and it’s more of a waste of space.

Maybe that’s just my opinion, but I didn’t even have it in my daily driver car and had to look for it in the other vehicles when heading to Arkansas the other week. Was nice to have it for a road trip so I could mooch off my friend laundry outlet instead of my free EA charging. (Also helped when everyone and their brother asked me for a high speed ride around the winding Ozark highways)
The only reason I carry the charging cable is for rangexchange to help someone if needed. Guess if I'm in the Gravity they are SOL.

I was surprised to receive an emailed invitation to make the switch from the GGT I ordered (and which is scheduled to go into production in "late August") to a Dream Edition, including the "design your own" option. So ... are they still taking DE orders? (I am not interested, but I'm curious based on what others have posted here.)
Yes, they’re still taking them and existing GGT owners can switch. It appears, as it was back in November, you have to start with a GGT order.

I think those of us who hang out on the forum and other online places get the sense demand is much higher than it likely really is. It IS a $100,000+ EV, after all. No matter how great it is, the market is only so deep. Hence the need for them to really get their next model out…can’t wait to hear more on earnings call in a couple of weeks.

Moved from "In Production" to "Preparing for Delivery", not sure if that means it has arrived at the delivery center or has been loaded on a trainer.

Frankly, I don't even know where to find the VIN on the portal.

I believe it means it arrived at the delivery center. How long has it been in production?

Preparing for delivery should mean it's arrived at the service center. Your vin should be visible on the dashboard page when you log in. Since mine has been delivered, it is showing up over on the right above the owner's manual section. Might be different prior to delivery. Frankly I don't remember if it has moved on the page.

You should be able to see your VIN in the dashboard under Owner’s manual & Software Updates.

Oh yep, its there. Thanks.

I'm not sure how long it was in production, I think it was either an orphaned Gravity or a Gravity that was never assigned. I just took it because of some life changes, and I needed a SUV asap.

Originally I didn't want the tow package, or the DDPro, but some how I have a feeling it worked out for the better.

Lease finance has already been approved through Lucid, and I've been told this will prioritize the PDI over units that do not have financing or payment completed.

My GDE has held an “In Production” status since May 3rd. Today, just as yours did, the status of my order changed to “Preparing for Delivery”. Hoping that means it’s at the SC now 🤞🏼

What color is that? It’s not black or AG…

Wha? That’s a bronze car, they aren’t making bronze DE as far as I know? Is this another lucid software glitch where the website displayed the wrong car? 🤣

Hey, if we can get DEs in other colors I gotta call my SA 😂

But seriously, is that even the bronze? Looks almost purple to me...
Dude if I keep seeing different colors available I’m gonna keep changing my order and my car will never go into production.

A stupid question as a newbie to the Lucid buying process -

For those of you who are switching over to orphaned cars, how are you verifying the specs? I keep getting texts from my SA with a link in the form of https://lucidmotors.com/inventory-vehicle/?UUID=XXXXXXXXX but that doesnt ever load for me. Is it just me?

Also, the orphaned cars that I keep getting are all overly optioned out and in the 122K+ range. Is that what everyone else is also seeing from their SAs?

Login into the portal, go to design and orders, click view order (you may have pop up window blocked) and you’ll see an order sheet.

The orphaned one I switched to was $119,550

Yes, that's the price range of the cars I was shown. My SA just sent me a cut and paste of what was available at the time, no links to anything. I just had to take them at their word until they put my name on one, then I could look at the specs in the order and confirmed it was exactly as they said.

Also, right now, all the orphaned cars I’ve been offered are platinum, which adds $2,000 to the cost.
