Hopefully there will be one more tomorrow. Mine.Is this the Gravity delivery thread? If so I'd like to report seeing about 6 of them in the back service area at the Torrance Ca. Lucid dealership. I plan on going back and taking another look.
Haha. Nice! It’s the little thingsSo, I can confirm my fears of a dysfunctional key have been 100% squashed. Kudos to @borski for taking off my training wheels. I can confirm that while having the fob in my pocket, you can push on the door handle to unlock the car and do the reverse to lock it when exiting...all without touching the key! Success! I am a satisfied customer now lol. Oh, and this trick works every time and is immediate.
I hope they gave you some loyalty discount for letting them use the vehicle for a YouTube review.Who’s Gravity is this?
Your guy got some bits wrong about it but he’s having such a fun time! He’s got a passion and is going to have it looking amazing I’m sure!
Interesting. I never do it from the app and I remember they wanted to install the module and we said “no”. My app does say “homelink” though. Not that it matters that much, but the system in the Tesla (came with it in mine) is listed as Homelink
That’s @borski ’s. He posted the post from OCD earlier, but not the “review”….Who’s Gravity is this?

After another look around 6pm there was only one. Don't know if they moved them, delivered them or I felt the pull of gravity and imagined them. As I already feel like a stalker I didn't talk to anyone, just a slow walk by.One of those is mine![]()
Looks like they are falling behind on software again…..these should be ready on delivery! I’m disappointed Lucid isn’t on top of this considering all the delays in getting the Gravity out.So I figured I'd give a quick update so far:
Delivery experience at Legacy West was awesome and top-notch. Props to the team over there. We went over the vehicle together and they had actually inspected it prior to my arrival and found some stuff that I might have overlooked in my excitement to get the car. Everything is pretty minor with the exception of the center console sliding glass door not working properly (it seems wobbly and won't stay shut--they already were on the case to get that fixed prior to my arrival. Service may need a part or two before they come fix it).
The car is amazing to drive. I think everyone knows that already so I won't rehash all of that. The build quality of my car is excellent overall. It's also very solid and quiet with no squeaks, rattles, wind noise, etc.
The software seems pretty good out of the gate (which has always been my biggest fear--along with the keyfob). I did have one strange quirk during the ride home, however. SiriusXM along with all the other streaming services literally completely disappeared for one of the legs of my trip home which was odd. We set up Sirius with some presets during the orientation. It worked great. Then started the car up to go home to leave and literally the entire existence of Sirius and all streaming services disappeared from the radio menu and the settings menu as if they never existed. I was stuck listening to broadcast radio! However, after parking the car (and presumably a period of sleep for the car) everything reappeared the way it was originally. The radio beat my expectations for sound quality which was a pleasant surprise.
Now for 1 disappointment that caught me off guard: Homelink is unavailable currently. It appears it's both a software issue AND physical hardware module that's not in the car and will have to be installed at a later date by the mobile techs. Should I start the Homelink Friday thread? Lol! I think the Gravity Android Auto Thursday thread will need to be (re)created as well for old times' sake! I already knew going into this that AA would not be available. It looks as though the same goes for CarPlay too at the moment.
As for the key: I'm currently carrying the fob (which I'm used to doing). I am having to physically press the lock and unlock buttons to enter and exit the car. I'm not sure I trust the proximity feature yet. I do wish there was a feature like on my Audi where you can keep it in your pocket and touch a certain spot on the handle to lock/unlock. I tried pushing on the handle to get it to pop out but that didn't work. (I feel like I had read something about the Air doing that--feel free to chime in). If there's a way of successfully locking/unlocking like my former Audi, please let me know. Also, I was told that Phone as a Key is currently not working and will come in a future update, FYI. You can, however, lock and unlock the car from the app as expected.
I plan to drive the car tomorrow and report back on any other observations. I'm also happy to answer any questions anyone has.
, but no homelink? This is embarrassingThis is why I’m glad I brought this up as I learned something. Homelink is a proprietary system, the hardware is sold and software is licensed by Gentex to auto manufacturers. The Volvo EX90 is also currently without working Homelink. So this may well be another supply chain/market priority issue, so I’m going to withhold criticism of Lucid over it. This just shows my natural state of giving benefit of the doubt is the right one and I made an error based on lack of knowledge in straying from that.
Let me say one other thing though. Every day, sometimes many times per day, there’s some comment about a Kia or Toyota or whatever having some feature the Lucid doesn’t have or does differently. Allow me to tell everyone why this is a stupid point. Those other cars are ugly, slow, less comfortable than Lucid, don’t charge as fast, have less space, less cutting edge design and engineering, and also ENORMOUS SCALE and enormous resources available. So if you really think the Toyota or Kia is better go away from here and go drive one of those. Thanks.
Tell me what EV has perfect software out the gate these days? Yes, there are some software quirks but cut Lucid some slack. It’s in a much better position than when the Air was launched and was to be expected.Looks like they are falling behind on software again…..these should be ready on delivery! I’m disappointed Lucid isn’t on top of this considering all the delays in getting the Gravity out.
Stop and read the thread. Lucid is far from alone on this.Yeah

Yours is 13 mine is 68, you winThat’s mine.
(I know they got some things wrong, and I wasn’t the first - that honor went to @HC_79 I think, but I’m not the one making videos)
And they were kind to me in exchange for the reviews / videos![]()
This is basic stuff…..Lucid shouldn’t be like…. everyone else messes it up so we will let this drag on as wellStop and read the thread. Lucid is far from alone on this.
With all due respect, as one of the few owners with a Gravity, your judgment is misplaced. This is leaps and bounds beyond what the Air has even today. This is basic stuff…..Lucid shouldn’t be like…. everyone else messes it up so we will let this drag on as well
Lucid should be like, we are struggling to sell cars and stock price is in the dumps, let’s make sure at least our software has the basics-homelink, CarPlay, android, working keys….
Why was Tesla so successful? SOFTWARE always works! That’s why we bought a second Tesla.
The Air UX 1.0 was abysmal, we all agree….though this is not that bad, still not ideal releasing cars with incomplete basic software. They are already behind 6 months in their Gravity deliveries. Lucid needs to speed up software development pronto if they want to be a leader in the luxury segment.
Homelink was std on s/x but not the 3/y. Never set it up on my x… finally set up MyQ when my new home had it on garage opener from Chamberlain. Works mostly… sometimes very slow to present the open or close button… I leave it on auto open but not close as sometimes the door is closing on unsuspecting folks… paid the money and got the compatible cameras too works well in case you forget to check the door. Check it over internet via phone.Huh? Tesla's have Homelink. I've had it on every Tesla I've owned. Four of them. It's not standard anymore but they've definitely had it as a feature.
As someone who owned an early 2013 S, I can tell you, Tesla software was super buggy, annoying and lots of “coming soon” features. Now, 13+ years later, sure, it’s awesome and stable. This is basic stuff…..Lucid shouldn’t be like…. everyone else messes it up so we will let this drag on as well

It’s not mentioned as such on either car’s website and Rivian says they have their “own software” that does it. On Tesla, you can pay for MyQ.
FWIW, there are a half dozen ways to make this work for free, from ratgdo to tailwind toView attachment 30175
Also Tesla is definitely homelink too.
