Well, it's official. The first Gravity in Texas is in my garage now!

Love it!!!! Mine delivers Monday, it’ll be the first in Colorado and is black as well man that looks clean!! Congrats!

So I figured I'd give a quick update so far:

Delivery experience at Legacy West was awesome and top-notch. Props to the team over there. We went over the vehicle together and they had actually inspected it prior to my arrival and found some stuff that I might have overlooked in my excitement to get the car. Everything is pretty minor with the exception of the center console sliding glass door not working properly (it seems wobbly and won't stay shut--they already were on the case to get that fixed prior to my arrival. Service may need a part or two before they come fix it).

The car is amazing to drive. I think everyone knows that already so I won't rehash all of that. The build quality of my car is excellent overall. It's also very solid and quiet with no squeaks, rattles, wind noise, etc.

The software seems pretty good out of the gate (which has always been my biggest fear--along with the keyfob). I did have one strange quirk during the ride home, however. SiriusXM along with all the other streaming services literally completely disappeared for one of the legs of my trip home which was odd. We set up Sirius with some presets during the orientation. It worked great. Then started the car up to go home to leave and literally the entire existence of Sirius and all streaming services disappeared from the radio menu and the settings menu as if they never existed. I was stuck listening to broadcast radio! However, after parking the car (and presumably a period of sleep for the car) everything reappeared the way it was originally. The radio beat my expectations for sound quality which was a pleasant surprise.

Now for 1 disappointment that caught me off guard: Homelink is unavailable currently. It appears it's both a software issue AND physical hardware module that's not in the car and will have to be installed at a later date by the mobile techs. Should I start the Homelink Friday thread? Lol! I think the Gravity Android Auto Thursday thread will need to be (re)created as well for old times' sake! I already knew going into this that AA would not be available. It looks as though the same goes for CarPlay too at the moment.

As for the key: I'm currently carrying the fob (which I'm used to doing). I am having to physically press the lock and unlock buttons to enter and exit the car. I'm not sure I trust the proximity feature yet. I do wish there was a feature like on my Audi where you can keep it in your pocket and touch a certain spot on the handle to lock/unlock. I tried pushing on the handle to get it to pop out but that didn't work. (I feel like I had read something about the Air doing that--feel free to chime in). If there's a way of successfully locking/unlocking like my former Audi, please let me know. Also, I was told that Phone as a Key is currently not working and will come in a future update, FYI. You can, however, lock and unlock the car from the app as expected.

I plan to drive the car tomorrow and report back on any other observations. I'm also happy to answer any questions anyone has.

We attempted that maneuver during the delivery and it seems that trick doesn't work on the Gravity (at least not yet) unfortunately.

Now for 1 disappointment that caught me off guard: Homelink is unavailable currently. It appears it's both a software issue AND physical hardware module that's not in the car and will have to be installed at a later date by the mobile techs. Should I start the Homelink Friday thread? Lol!

FWIW, ours is the same on all of the above, minus the key and Sirius/audio issues; pressing the handle does unlock ours

I’ll be honest though, we didn’t spend almost any time listening to music because we were simply marveling at how absolutely silent the car was.

I scan the QRC for the Homelink and it just brought me to the Lucid landing page. I thought I actually have to buy it. My SA never told me about this. thx.

All my streaming apps come and go too, it took 2 days for Spotify to work after I log in. At first, it was just the settings page. But after 2 days, normal Spotify interface shows up.

P.S. - now I get random errors which I think are just false positives, and/or UX issues. RWS not working, Air Supension not available, and tonight. Headlight not working, but headlight was on. RWS error requires a reboot or next startup to clear. Anybody have any issues with wireless charging for phone not working?

The black looks awesome! I wish I could do a black Gravity but I just don’t have the energy after having a Black Air GT. It’s like the best looking thing on the road when clean, but I just don’t have the dedication anymore to drop $10K on PPF/Ceramic and then still wash it religiously. Our weather in Rhode Island is more like Seattle these days so it’s either water spots making it look like a leopard or pollen/dust making it yellow.

I appreciate all you early delivery folks giving us impressions and updates. Can’t wait for my delivery, but also realize bugs are part of the early adopter process. My biggest concern is just getting stranded somewhere. As long as no one is having issues like that, I will take the bugs. But I do want excellent production quality.

My demo drive was so amazing, can’t wait to get behind the wheel of my own. Hopefully by August…

It’s included with the DE and was listed on our due bill, so I wouldn’t stress too much about it.

I’ve had none of these. We saw the wireless charging thing briefly, but it was my wife’s case (which has had issues on other chargers too). Removing it fixed it.

Only one of our original garage door remotes still works (yes, even with new batteries). It's not been a problem as our other cars have Homelink. However, if our second Gravity arrives still missing Homelink, it appears I'd better get new remotes.

Any timeframe given for addressing this issue?

Unfortunately, I was not given a formal time frame other than "hopefully soon". Luckily I have a few spare ones that came with my house that had never been used as all my previous cars have had homelink as well. I'd probably say you may want to pick one up.

I wasn’t given a timeframe but I didn’t really ask; we use Home Assistant for our garage doors anyway.

What colors did you order ?
Tire size?

Aurora Green, Hankook tires, Tahoe interior full loaded GGT minus the tow package. I was gonna do Ojai as I think that’s a very nice color but combined with the exterior green I think it ends up looking drab. I think bronze/Ojai would be great though. My Air GT is black/Tahoe so I’m familiar with how the Tahoe looks, that color is almost Ferrari tan which I love.
