Gravity Delivery Discussion

I can't find the posts now, but there was some discussion about no Gravities leaving the factory for U.S. delivery until a June 18 software download was completed.

Am I remembering correctly? What was the source of that information? What does it mean?
I believe the source was @suyoungman 's SA... so could be real, could be made up, but is definitely plausible. I guess we'll see what happens today/tomorrow!

But I understood @borski to say that 3.1.7 was the final download before readying for shipment, and got that back on June 12?

I was given a VIN in late April. Was told May 7 it would be 2 weeks to factory gate and 2 more weeks for delivery. As of today, vehicle hasn’t been completed. Everyone seems to be getting different information. Would be nice if they would just tell us what is really going on.
If they actually had any idea what was going on or what the timing would be, I think they would actually say something. The bigger issue is they appear to have no idea what’s going, what will happen next, etc. Hopefully, that settles by next earnings call in August so they can give better answers than “there are hiccups”…

SAs sure do say stuff that is sometimes true and other times is completely made up 🤷‍♂️

Yesterday, my SA connected with the logistics team in Az, who shared that my car will be shipped out after the new software update is completed today. Exciting update, as it could potentially mean that I take delivery this weekend.
They also mentioned that if someone's Gravity was moved to a SC before this update, it might be due to logistics not wanting a delivery truck to have two empty spots.

BTW, has anyone noticed an update on their order page regarding a new software version, apart from version 3.1.7 that most of us are currently seeing?

As numerous people have predicted, I believe this software update due today is the final linchpin to triggering a significant increase in Gravity deliveries over the next couple weeks. My guestimate is that this update is tied to the HUD and will improve its performance. We all know that the HUD under current software is less than optimal and although a fully functional HUD is not required for safe operation of vehicle, Lucid did not want a bunch of early Gravity owners posting negative comments about this “over priced, piece of crap HUD”. The good news is the we should all be getting a lot more information about the HUD and numerous other Gravity specifics in the next couple days and weeks.

Nevruary?! 😂😉.

That’s funny.

It sounds like Lucid is trying very hard to NOT sell any Gravity.

The good news is I don’t need a new car until May 2028. I am confident Lucid Gravity will be available then

I’m with you. As much as I would love a Gravity GT in my garage YESTERDAY, I’ll not place an order until 2028.

Well the status changed to “preparing for delivery”. So another small update along with car is at the Millbrae service center but no delivery date yet

Very happy for everyone about to get their Gravities! Meanwhile, looks like non launch builds are looking to be as late as October. Which, speaking of, can I just gripe for a second about how much I dislike the stupid sales associate system? My SA has been actively unhelpful and disinterested, and ironically this response he sent me yesterday—in which he rudely and hurriedly tells me to be patient—is the most helpful thing he’s ever done. Oh well. Guess I’m looking forward to October :)

Congrats! It's looking like you might actually be able to get the car this week. Mine still says in production, so I'm guessing that means it didn't make it to Milbrae yet.

Let’s see if anyone reports seeing a software update beyond 3.1.7 on their software dashboard.

Was told that the showroom Gravity vehicles for Newport/Fashion Island and San Diego are at the Costa Mesa SC and being prepped to be displayed shortly. No word on when demo vehicles will be available to drive.

I can only imagine how many emails, calls and messages Sales Advisors are getting from many people wondering what’s going on and when can they expect their vehicles.

While not ideal, I don’t blame them for been a little short or abrupt at this stage. From what I can gather, they have very limited info / visibility into the production pipeline so I don’t think they’re hiding info etc. they simply don’t know.

Yes, walked in this morning and saw them in the back. They have a Green/Yosemite Gravity on the showroom floor, which SA was quick to point out is a 'demo' pre-production model.

When I went to visit Millbrae to look at the 5-seat Gravity they now have on display, the SA was clear that it also is a pre-production vehicle. The indents on the floor where the 3rd row seats would attach were an artifact of that.
