Gravity Delivery Discussion

Signs of life today...my car has moved from "in production" to "preparing for delivery".

Does this mean being prepped for shipment from the factory or being prepped at a service center for final delivery to you?

Advice?

I ordered a Gravity GT on the morning of day 1 - November 7. By chance I chose options that should have ensured a speedy delivery - green, no tech package. I have received one call from my sales associate in early March asking if I would upgrade to bigger wheels (less range for more money is not, for me, attractive so that was an easy no). I did a test drive which was amazing, but no one at the studio was willing to offer any timeline details. Since March I've reached out to my sales associate via email (no response), and phone (won't pick up), probably 5 times. My order is still just at the confirmed stage.

I doesn't look like any regular customers have cars yet but for various reasons this fall is my deadline for a bigger car so it's a Gravity or we just throw our toys and get a cheap and generic ICE 3 row vehicle. I'm a little disappointed to see not only that deliveries seem to be so far behind schedule but also that for some reason we are nowhere near the front of the queue. Is there an alternative way to get in touch with Lucid and find your personal timeline?

@marqie might be able to help you and point you in the right direction to get an update.

I think if you want the car sooner rather than later you're potentially going to have to compromise. It seems there's numerous parts shortages so deepening on the spec you ordered it could just push you further down the line, not because Lucid isn't prioritizing your place in the queue but they simply don't have the parts to make your spec. Your chances of getting Green, Tahoe, 21/22 with no tech package or power package "might" get you closer to a delivery from the bits and pieces gathered on the forum. Yes, range will be the compromise but keep in mind you've got access to a car that charges very fast and can use the Tesla network.

SA shared today that car can't be released before the 18th now due to software issues. Was hoping for delivery this weekend...

You can also always changes the tires once delivered.

That said, if you’ve got a deadline and you’re stuck on those specs, I’d wait to see what they say on the earnings call in August. I personally don’t think many summer deliveries are likely based on forum info.

Is this a hold on new deliveries? They've already delivered some.
There seems to be a hold on most things Gravity. Whether the holds are official or not, we will never know. Each SA seems to know or hear something different.

Must be new deliveries? Said software update is scheduled to come out on the 18th, and cannot provide delivery update until after confirming successful install

Those 5 “deliveries” from last month are starting to look very fishy now. Everyone gets their hopes up that those 5 are the beginning of a regular stream of deliveries, then nothing. These are looking like more “friends and family” semi-production Gravity being shipped just to appease investors. Why deliver 5 and then nothing for a month?

I agree...However, if I actually get mine soon, I'll know that there is at least one "real" delivery. I better read my sales documentation carefully to make sure it's not actually a NDA. 😅 🤣

Wait, was that photoshop I saw on Reddit? I thought they literally just released android auto. Aw man did I get fooled?
It probably is released internally and got leaked. Patience…….you’ve waited years, what’s another week or so :p

Lucid employees operate with zero supervision and no accountability. That was m\y experience buying my Air Touring last February. It simply becomes a matter how decent is the SA, his/ her work ethics and so on. Coin flip, as we all know many people suck at their jobs generally.

Also, it looks like Lucid is trying very hard NOT to sell any Gravity 🤔🤦‍♂️😂
