Makes me wonder if it's RWD with only 1 motor (as the Dream Edition has roughly 2x HP and 2 motors--the same motor in the rear and up front).

Maybe they'll open after next week to coincide with the NYC Event. Also, the Touring may be more appealing on the wallet outside the US. When conversions take place the Grand Touring is a damn expensive vehicle outside the US.Looks like PIF is controlling.. why would they not open here ?
Likely WLTP.seems the rumor is over 500Km which is around 310mi
I would expect EPA of 300 to 350 in the US. Anything above that would be a bonus in my opinion. For the entry price and range though it would still be quite competitive in its segment.Likely WLTP.
300 EPA miles does seem to be the new average range for EV-SUVs. I agree that the Touring would likely be designed to do better than that.I would expect EPA of 300 to 350 in the US. It’s AWD, the only differences I can find are the range and horsepower. I wonder if there’s extra legroom space or storage space because of the smaller battery (and maybe motor too?)Makes me wonder if it's RWD with only 1 motor (as the Dream Edition has roughly 2x HP and 2 motors--the same motor in the rear and up front).![]()
Yeah, looks like initial colors are only Black or Auora Green but from an options standpoint it seems everything you can add on the Grand Touring can be added on the Touring so appears to just be a range and HP reductionIt’s AWD, the only differences I can find are the range and horsepower. Approximate price differential is as noted from the US preliminary estimates of 80K vs 95k?Yeah, looks like initial colors are only Black or Auora Green but from an options standpoint it seems everything you can add on the Grand Touring can be added on the Touring so appears to just be a range and HP reduction

Correct they re-arranged the modules so that it wouldn't affect interior space like the Air. 560 is lower HP than the Air Touring however, not that an SUV 'base' model needs to be blazing fast, 560 is still more than any of the German and ICE premium competitors at that price point. And it will still blow away the Escalade IQ.I suspect the main advantages from the smaller battery pack will come from reduced cost and reduced weight.
The Touring battery pack will probably lose the top tier of modules that sit under the front seat cushions of the Grand Touring, but the Gravity seats are high enough that, even with the large battery pack, they have plenty of "leg drop". Lowering the floor by removing modules, as is done with the small-pack Airs, would actually produce an unnatural seating position in the Gravity.
I also don't know how it could affect cargo space, as the pack sits between the front and rear axles. The storage wells in the frunk and behind the third-row seats are already as deep as the body and drivetrain configurations allow.

Make sense when export costs are taken into account. I don't believe the Air's quite have a localized made in Saudi price just yet...$111K vs $130K
This has always been the case with the GT in Saudi Arabia, I posted about it in the other thread when they started taking orders there:Yeah, looks like initial colors are only Black or Auora Green but from an options standpoint it seems everything you can add on the Grand Touring can be added on the Touring so appears to just be a range and HP reduction

I agree, I can’t think of any use of the extra space, but knowing how superior Lucid’s packaging and space utilization, I’m hoping they’ll figure something out, maybe underseat storage space?I suspect the main advantages from the smaller battery pack will come from reduced cost and reduced weight.
