Gravity Bugs / Issues

The 3.2.1 update definitely fixed the infotainment media apps dropping issue. The phone contacts are still a little balky but still useable, almost there.
I wanted to share that I took my Gravity DE to a local "Cars & Coffee" over the weekend and had non-stop traffic and lots of questions. I was wearing a Lucid hat so many mistook me for an employee but I assured them I was not. Many Tesla "X" and "Y" owners were waiting to see this car and it does not disappoint. Many reservation holders came by said it was the first one they'd seen "in the wild". The two hours flew by with a constant stream of interested car enthusiasts....so much so the guys with cars on either side of me decamped for a less busy part of the parking lot. Bottom line is this car is a home run from every perspective. Engineering needs to execute on these niggling issues with the tech stack so this car can realize it's potential.
I had a similar experience at Cars and Coffee here in Rancho Santa Fe. Not easy to bring a vehicle here that no one has seen before. I arrived at 6:30a to get a good parking spot. From about 7:00 to 9:45 it was a constant stream of people. I was wearing a Lucid shirt and people also thought I worked for the company. I said "Nope, I'm just a passionate Lucid owner". There is a smaller gathering on my way home and I ended up there for almost 2 hours. I refer to it as "the after party". Shelby guys were getting together that morning. All in all it was a lot of fun. Several people asked if they could sit in the car and I obliged. I told my SA that if anyone says they saw a car in Rancho Santa Fe, your welcome.

I was told specifically that this was not a fix but a reset and the problem could come back. All this did was kick the can down the road until an actual fix is pushed.
I'm increasingly convinced this is either the Marquardt MCU getting wedged, or a general CAN bus timing issue (which could also explain the spurious headlight/taillight/brake warnings). A little bird told me that physically removing power to the ECU (which requires removing an interior panel) also fixes the key issues.

Mine is actually headed back up to the SC in Costa Mesa because Homelink was never either installed or activated and they said that reflashing the ECU would fix that. Also fixing a rubbing issue for the tailgate, rear seat and others.

Does anyone's car seemingly interchange Fahrenheit with Celsius? Its not a huge deal, lower is colder higher is warmer big whoop. But its funny that sometimes I get readings in F and other times its in C, even though the preference is set to F.

On a side note, we tried to have mobile service come to address a few small issues, and they wanted the car to be brought to Beverly Hills. Apparently the techs are still training? We opted to pass. I'll wait till someone can come to me.

This was the case on delivery, but I haven't seen it again since.

I've made a list (including HomeLink) but I also told them that there's no point in wasting either of ours time until I have to come in for something important, like the 2nd key fob. I mailed the list so there's no confusion that any fit-and-finish issues could have occurred after delivery. As long as the driving and charging parts of the car work, I'm happy.

A friend of mine who is a true car guy goes to the local C&C. A local ev group also holds a monthly Electrics & Expressos. I'm considering taking my Gravity.

However, I'm hesitant because I don't want people sitting inside, opening doors, etc. You can tell people not to do something, but unless you monitor closely, stuff can happen.

I've been meaning to ask this question of those who attend Lucide & Lattes events: How do you handle overly aggressive people? Honestly, I probably just shouldn't go, but I would like to show the car. I know there's interest.

I chose to just open it up and let people have their way with it. No regrets but I did not leave the car and I kept a close eye on my adapters I keep in the driver’s door bin. I put down the third row and half of the second to show the full lie flat nature of the back. Truthfully a ridiculous amount of cargo capacity.

Yep. What I do is switch sources. I switch to Bluetooth and back and it reappears every time. I usually do this right away when I start the vehicle now.
I'll have to try that... usually I just switch to radio but that doesn't seem to fix it. I'll try Bluetooth next time.

I picked up gravity and at the time of delivery of the car, it was not able to recognise the Fob. Seems like 3.2.1 update after calling customer service (car already came with this 3.2.1 but we reinstalled again) fixed the fob issue. Cards cannot be used to put the car on gear.
Another issue - I went to my work to charge the car and pressed to recondition the battery, and after that car refused to get into drive mode for 30 minutes till I have to perform a hard reset.

That stinks. I believe an update to fix this is imminent (how soon I don’t know but it’s a priority).

Where did you put the card after unlocking the car?

I got PTSD reading this! Exactly what happened to me before I left on my trip -- except I had the convenience of it happening during open support hours so they could reset the software 🤓

As my car sits at the airport (I'm flying home tomorrow) I find myself wondering what mood it'll be in when I arrive. Haven't felt this much anxiety since dating! Will it respond to me and allow me to take it home, or will I get the cold shoulder? 🤣
UPDATE: Flew back to SFO last night, and as I approached Velocitron in the parking garage it recognized me and lit up like a Christmas tree. I could have kissed it! Flawless unlocking and drive-away. All the anxiety was warrantless. I'm relieved and happy.

Is your car Aurora Green? It sure looks like Bronze in the photo!

Were you parked at a charger, or was it just coincidence that you were next to an EQS SUV? Makes the Gravity look even meaner, though.

No, not a charging spot. Didn't feel right taking up one of those for my multi-day trip. I was just in a full-size space in short term parking. The EQS SUV wasn't there when I originally parked. Have to wonder whether the owner purposefully pulled into that empty spot to get a more clear look at the competition 😜

3.2.2 will address the key fob/card issue, stay tuned and thank you for continuously sharing data (good and bad)
