Many of the roads we are planning are two lane with posted speed from 45 to mostly 55 in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Once we start I think we're committed to the trip. Has @Bill55 made his trip yet? I may have missed posts.


It was actually conditions that are not likely to occur again but it's good to know. I engaged ACC to see how it worked and soon after the SA wanted me to exit. I sped up to get over to exit but no regen to slow to exit. I just hit the brake.

I've already shared my disappointment about lack of wired connection...



Taking delivery on 19" getting 3.1 at higher speeds than I should be able to do out west is giving me comfort, thanks again.

I postponed trip due to arctic freeze that pushed into my intended route last month. Hoping to do something late April. My daily commute has some highway, but also acceleration to highways speeds 2 or 3 times, 2 stop signs, and maybe 6 lights on average. I usually get low 2’s. A combined trip San Diego to Santa Barbara over 3 before cruise was active. I expect 3.5 @ 80 with cruise.

Rhetorical question: in real life, what MPG would a comparable ICE car get in the same conditions where the Lucid would get low 2’s?

Then he will apply clear heat rejection film on the inside windshield and back seat roof with no extra tinting. He is tinting back and all side windows only. We are also putting PPF gloss black to over silver roof and sode mirrors to match side window tinting to make entire roof and windows appear black from side and back. If I don’t like black PPF he will remove it and then we can go back to the silver two-tone look, which I enjoy as well. Also, PPF entire car. Ceramic coating interior of car.

Update: My guy is not putting Exoshield on to he windshield. He had Xpel rep come into town and they decided due to the metal coating in the window they did not feel comfortable heating the windshield.
 
Just heard from my DA (on a Sunday no less). Expecting a vin in mid April and delivery in May. Delay (confirmation on Nov. 16, 2021) due to Grey exterior.

@WJA just got my VIN today - 3/20/22
 
I just got a call from my DA - I confirmed Jan 5th (white, Santa Cruz, 19”) and she says a vin will be assigned “possibly” end of this month, or beginning of April.
When asked if I should see the car by my 4 month delivery window, I was told yes and that she has spoken to the manufacturing team who gave her this info. So here’s to hoping!

My DA has been MIA for over a week after I told him I have no confidence in Lucid’s management and that they have any clue on how to communicate to customers over delays and giving realistic timelines. Asked for him to just tell me the truth on the when VIN will be assigned and vehicle ETA and just got crickets.

I’m Red with Santa Cruz ordered on January 5th. Originally I was told things would be moving aggressively in March with a late March to early April delivery. When I followed up recently I was told VIN would be assigned within “Weeks”. Today, nothing! It’s frustrating that you find out more information in this forum than from your DA.

I’m probably on the naughty list also for calling out Lucid’s management and pathetic customer communication!

With VIN to delivery being taken down from 4-6 weeks to 2-4 weeks and the fact there two trailers in the picture taking cars away at that moment, we may be seeing some change.
