You know, I am super fond of the Santa Cruz interior until I saw the walnut grain. That was the turn off for me that made me go to Mojave. The wood grain and the lack of weather mats…

Interesting that the queue is non-linear; my Zenith Red was supposedly already at Scottsdale when I got my VIN May 4 and my DA currently has no idea when my car will be ready.

Update: I received an email from my DA sent Saturday night at 10:22pm saying he was confident my car would be ready Monday 6/20. Since in the past he said he was confident it would be delivered by May 9th I am still cautious. I replied with some questions about availability for Wednesday so I could make flight arrangements into PHX for my Scottsdale delivery. Right away I got a canned out of office email from my DA saying he won't be able to reply until Tuesday. When I relayed this story to my wife, she laughed. I certainly have no problem with people taking time off but Lucid just can't seem to get out of its own way.
I guess I'll call the generic delivery number early tomorrow and see if I can get any answers.

I confirmed my Quantum Grey in early November, and when I expressed frustration in early May that I was the only one in my confirmation cohort with no line of sight on a VIN, my DA offered me a Zenith Red (which I also liked very much) that was already in the Scottsdale Delivery Center and "just about ready". Then the pause or recall or extra inspection or whatever happened. So now here we are six or seven weeks later, still no car, and maybe a delivery, maybe not.
Every inch of the way, Lucid has found a way to pump the brakes.

Honestly, a 6 week delivery after VIN during the middle of a recall doesn’t sound bad at all. I’m sure there are many here who would like to have your “problem”.

You can find plenty on Amazon or at local AutoZone stores. I don't remember the brand right now, I have been without a car for years.

In general, I'd agree with you. And in fact, I've said every part of the way that I very much expect Lucid to take their time and make sure everything is perfect before I take my car. I reserved early enough that I could have easily had a Dream Edition a long time ago but I chose GT because I didn't want to take the first batch-- I wanted the car to be a bit more baked.
But my concern, like so many on here, has been the setting of expectations and communication. If I had stuck with a grey car, I'd say a 6 week time between VIN and delivery would be good. But I literally switched colors because I was told delivery would be immediate. It wasn't.
Thankfully, despite the out of office email, my DA has replied and things are moving forward. I hope he's not replying from some beach somewhere. I'd be happy with a competent backup.

That’s your DA’s own fault for not being organized and handing off your delivery to someone else at Lucid in his absence. My DA went on vacation just before taking delivery and did what every Lucid DA should be doing. He sent me an email explaining he would be away and provided me a person to reach out to if I had any questions.

Good morning. Thank you for moderating this informative forum. I ordered a Grand Touring on September 17, 2021 and Confirmed on March 2, 2022. Quantum Grey, Santa Cruz interior. Patiently waiting through the Grey Delay and other issues. It will be worth the wait!
 
So...... Still waiting for GT. Confirmed 11/16/21 and VIN 4/28/22. Decided to reach out to DA since it had been 2 weeks and try to set up a time to talk. Clicked the link at bottom of email and would not work. So I tried calling direct line and it was disconnected. I called main number and a very nice person, Felipe, informed me that my DA no longer works for Lucid and is working elsewhere. I understand that people leave a company, but it would have been nice to be informed of this and who my new DA is. Yet, another example of poor communication. I had sent an email to my prior DA 10 days ago which was never returned regarding having service center take aero covers off the 19 inch wheels and putting silver disk and lug not covers on if possible prior to delivery. I guess I now know why I never received a response. Car still stuck in Goose Island with many others. I hope that this change in DA now does not delay my delivery even further. I understand the supply chain delays, just getting a bit frustrated by poor communication. :mad:

Honestly, they need to start communicating clear car statuses electronically in a clear accessible up-to-date accurate manner. The way they’re trying to handle communication simply isn’t scaling and is leaving a sour tastes in a few potential customers mouths.

They’re mainly relying on a few hero DAs or the grind to tire customers out. Neither of which is healthy.

I agree. I expected some hiccups with a new company but this is definitely leaving a very sour taste. I reserved in January of 2021 and have been very excited about the company and car but have recently been finding myself looking at other options. I stupidly sold my Porsche in March because I was told a 2-4 month time frame for delivery from my November order date (I also got a great price for the sale). This expected delivery date was even confirmed in February prior to me selling my Porsche. I have been borrowing an extra car from a relative for months now. It is getting close to 2 months from my VIN number as well (initially told 2-4 weeks for delivery). I understand from the other owners on the Forum here that the car drives fantastically and service after delivery is great. These are the only things keeping me from cancelling my order completely at this time. Just getting very frustrated. Sorry needed to vent...

May 13 VIN received
 
I was just invited to pay today and informed that my vehicle is on the short list for potential clearance on delivery. Now I'm just kicking off wrapping up the loan process. Fingers are crossed. I'm still debating on picking it up and driving it home if it's at a "near" (near meaning 2 hours away) center vs waiting on them to arrange a truck delivery. I'm hesitant because I want to get it to the PPF shop (Empire Auto Spa) with no major blemishes... but am of little faith or patience in how long that ordeal might actually take.
 
Did anyone get that generic delivery letter last week that said "We are targeting the end of June for the completion of all cars currently in this review process. Your Delivery Advisor will provide periodic updates on the status of your car".

My advisor was good when she gave the update that my car will be ready 2-6 weeks. On the 6th week which was 2 weeks ago, I reached out to her and she said it is still 'in production'. To be honest, as excited as I am to get it soon, I also want them to work out all the major bugs.

I got the same letter. My DA knows nothing, not her fault. Not expecting my car in June even though the letter said they were still hopeful. My VIN was assign May 13 and they said 2-6 weeks at that point.
