Front alignment after new front tires

I am replacing 2 front tires at Discount Tire. Do I need to have a front end alignment after replacing? The service center said I do?

Depends. If they said that because they examined the wear on your old tires and determined that it was uneven caused by a wheel alignment issue, that would be reasonable. If they just stated that as a general rule, not so much although I am thinking about their lifetime alignment deals for when I replace my (ugh) Primacy tires with 4S tires.
