Just received the following email from Lucid. Sounds like Gravity coming to NYC for general viewing March 28-30.

Feel free to delete if this is a dupe.

Got one of those as well, it’s got no time on it, no rsvp, could literally be anything

It has a date range so I would assume "any time during working hours from the 28th til the 30th".

On the other hand, they've sent out announcements that Gravity will be at "XYZ Studio on <date>" before and the car arrived before that date and was there for a week or two after the date, so if this follow the same pattern ...?

This is the first public event after the Q4'24 earnings call and Rawlinson's departure as CEO. I hope Lucid has its act together. Lucid seems to be setting expectations for a major event. The "Invitation-only" event aside, still confusing what is to be unveiled? where (in NYC)? how? etc.

I hope Lucid Marketing has its act together!

Got the same email. I am based out of Dallas. Would love to see a Gravity locally!

I will try to head out and check it out, I am handy with photo and video recording so it’s not going to be a single crappy angle.

Lucky for me, I'll be driving from DC to Westfield, NJ on that weekend to visit family. I'll definitely visit the Meatpacking Lucid studio.

During the last earnings call, they said that they really hadn't begun any marketing effort for Gravity, but that they were planning big things. I doubt anyone would consider an invite-only event a to have a big marketing impact, unless perhaps it's focused on the media. My guess is the bulk of whatever marketing they plan will not kick in until the Gravity production starts to ramp up. Building some anticipation is good, but most of the market won't sit around like us waiting for a vehicle that they cannot lay hands on.

I don't think "invitation only" applies to an event that lasts 2 days at a publicly accessible existing Lucid Studio...?

They need to lay out a realistic timeline and stick with it. As I mentioned before in another post, this marathon strip-tease is wearing very thin!

I got the same thing.

It is so weird - it's like an invitation, sort of, but it has virtually no details. Honestly it doesn't even really promise that a Gravity will be there. Usually an "invite" comes with some kind of other information. I clicked on it, thinking it would take me to a landing page with more info, but no, it just takes me to the Gravity page.

I'm really tempted to go up there; I can get to NYC by train or car in a few hours, but not knowing wth is up there for me, it's, uhh, just got me scratching my head.

Am sure someone will post here by Thursday evening or Friday morning about what's actually happening and then you can decide. I live nearby and am planning to drop by on Friday afternoon, so you'll know by then worst case.

Not sure what people are expecting here? It's a public event over the course of 3 days which focuses on the Gravity at a specific location. What more info do you want? An hourly breakdown of what's going on? There are millions of these types of events around the world all the time....

Honestly, with respect to Gravity's specs and features, I don't know there is anything new to disclose.
The only thing that people are anxious about is the production ramp and availability schedule. And when can people go to the studios in their areas to go sit in a Gravity on display and test drive it.

In short, I don't see the utility of an NYC gala....just ship the production Gravity to the studios and reviewers!

I got a slightly different invite with the ability to RSVP with a private event after hours. This invite is the general announcement.

Could it be that this is a production Gravity in the NY studio? Attend the event to see or just wait until after!

It better be a PRODUCTION GRAVITY. And Lucid needs to come forth with a detailed plan for shipping dates and availability. Otherwise, it is nothing more than a dog-and-pony show we've already seen.

If the image that @kgmon posted is any indication, it should be a production Gravity based on the charge port location.

Yeah, it sure had better be, or else… @BS8899 is coming to yell at them? lol

Still waiting for my invite after speaking to sales at the location in manhattan. Tim the manager there kicked my request up to corporate to Susanne Hachagian senior customer relations but two days later I haven’t heard a peep. This is similar to me contacting marketing to get a Lucid for a TV show like I did for two miniseries ( absolutely free widespread exposure!) and never heard back. There seems to be a disconnect in corporate communications.
