Driver's side wiper blades leaving haze on the windshield

This may have been covered here but my wiper blade had shifted enough in the fitting that it wasn’t working well. It was a simple fix of sliding back into place. I would have never noticed but I was ceramic coating the window.
How do you get at the blades? Is there a procedure to have them come up from underneath the hood (Audi's used the stalks)

Same here. I didn't notice until the end actually came free and started flopping around yesterday. Glad I just re-coated my window so I didn't really need the wipers.

I don't know what it is, but half the time I can just pull them up like on any other car, and half the time they are firmly stuck in there. Either way be sure to turn off the automatic wipers before you lift them, or they will try to break themselves.

I have taken my Lucid in for this issue several times and I do not use Rain-x on it. The first time, they changed the blades and was charged for it. The second time, several months later, they changed the blades again and tried to charge me but I refused to pay. The third time, they said it was due to the tension of the blades. That did not fix the problem. It is in the shop again for this issue, and I hope they find a solution.

I am currently driving a newer loaner with about 3,500 miles on it and it is doing the same thing. Could this be an issue with all Lucids?
What do you mean by haze? The Lucid's wipers are heated so it leaves a warm layer of fogginess sometimes depending on the amhient temp.

I just started using the RainX washer tank additive on my BMW this week and it works fine. I haven't noticed any haze or streaking. RainX out of the bottle (gel or spray) directly to glass takes a little buffing and damp cloth buffing in my experience.

I got it because the back window of the lucid has big water drop buildup problems imo.

That's not good, i have followed all the suggestions others have been posting but the issue remains. Today, i had another much bigger issue of auxiliary power supply fault which needs to be fixed at the service station, and may take days to fix, not cool! :(

Driving mine in the rain in Chicago here for the first time, delivered 4 days ago - the driver's wiper is just leaving rainbow tinted messy streaks all over. I've already tried glass cleaner, dish soap, IPA, and simple green so far. Nothing seems to fix it. I'm wondering if the wiper blade itself has a material issue? Really not great with <100 mi on the clock.

You've also cleaned the wiper blade?

Yup, cleaned the windshield and blades, and rinsed quite thoroughly. Can't seem to get rid of whatever this oily stuff is.

That photo is helpful. It looks like you have a partial silicone coating. This is what you get if you mix regular windshield washer fluid (or conventional window washer like Windex) with the silicone=based (Rain X) type. If the cleaning tips posted here did not work then try re-applying the "rainx" or whatever silicone-based washer fluid you used and let it dry and do a deep polish.as mentioned above. You have to remove the "regular" IPA- based washer fluid from the tank or this will keep happening.

The streak can happen if the wiper blade is hitting the lip of the plastic at the bottom of the windshield. I replaced my driver's side wiper twice before I realized it was catching on the raised lip of that plastic below the windshield when it goes to the "stowed" position ( open the funk ). I was able to push the plastic trim back flush with the windshield, but had to re-seat the rubber wiper blade insert. No problem since.

Thing is, I haven't used anything at all. The car has <100 miles, it was picked up from the service center new on Friday. Whatever is on it, and in the wiper fluid tank, is what came from the factory.

I can't imagine they're putting RainX on them there?

Yes I doubt they put a silicone-based washer fluid in the tank. Your photo definitely looks like mixing IPA/water "regular" washer fluid mixed with a silicone-based washer fluid (RainX). You may get result by just applying RainX ( or similar ) and polishing. Worth a try. Let us know.

I took my GT for a "full Monte" treatment before I even drove it, so I don't know. The wrap, tint, and ceramic stuff they did = never had a problem.

It doesn't rain in the states where these cars are designed / made ... I'm waiting to see how the poorly-designed-for-snow and ice and salty slush "front end" deals with the salty below-freezing slush that gets sprayed-up when winter-driving the PA turnpike. It sticks to everything, even RainX. The front of the Lucid has so many places for the frozen slush to stick and accumulate. Will post photos of this in a few months.
