And by the way, there are such things as software recalls. I've had a few of those on my Tesla, which were fixed OTA. So it could be software-related, still. But not likely for general bugs. More like, "a few people reported something very dangerous that we can reproduce reliably, and the NHTSA is forcing our hand about fixing it immediately."
Just guessing---but the episode of the guy here whose car "just up and died" (eg no breaks, etc) Something that serious might require disclosure the NTSB...this is, after all, a highly-regulated industry

Just got back after visiting a friend. His AGT Black/Mojave got delivered today. Location: PDX.

I doubt if there was a system wide delivery hold, his car would not be in his garage today. Just my $0.02/-

Respectfully, the issue isn't whether they know their business better than you---the issue is whether they can execute in one of the most complex, cutthroat spaces in American business---the current conditions are what they are---and yes---the OEM who makes 3MM units a year gets the attention of suppliers more than the one that makes 2000 a year. L and the Saudis knew this going in.

The point isn't to bash---the point is to put personal bias and sentimentality to the side
For sure, but the bias goes both ways. Some seem to expect their DA who is covering 100 customers simultaneously should be able to tell them on a daily basis where there car is in the manufacturing process when they very likely don’t have access to daily updates on that info, expect that the software which is still in version 1.x iteration should be as stable as the most stable OS from competitors, expect that delivery trucks just magically are sitting and waiting at Lucid at all times even though my friend’s AMG E53 sat in a lot for two months after arriving in the US due to the massive truck driver shortage, after taking 5 months to build due to supply chain shortages. The fact that Lucid is delivering built-to-order vehicles in a timeline comparable to Tesla or Mercedes should be acceptable (yes I know Lucid volume is microscopic compared to the competition, but you have to start somewhere, don’t you?). I just see little if any benefit of the doubt being given or perspective beyond “where’s my car, do they have no clue what they’re doing?”

I just talked to my DA, and he said he wasn't aware of any system-wide delivery hold. He said that one of his customers just got his GT yesterday.
Yea, I don't think we should jump to the conclusion that it is system-wide, despite what I was told about Goose Island. Perhaps it is localized to a batch, but again, let's be clear that speculation is what we do well here!

Update on my pending delivery out of Goose Island. As of last Friday my car was ready to be delivered (actually got the call from GI) but since paperwork had not been generated I was told to expect a few days delay. Unfortunately, today my DA told me that "there was a meeting" at HQ in CA and they were told deliveries were now on hold, indefinitely (at least at Goose Island), and that it was not restricted to my car (which had already passed PDI). No further information was given, despite various lines of questioning (is it software or hardware, etc).

Speculation is what we do well here, so I'll suggest it is potentially a recall level issue that they want to get ahead of and not something that would make them look good if they release cars - say with Car Play - in advance of the earnings call August 3. Since the delay is undefined and indefinite, and there's little likely-hood of getting a significant number delivered within the next week, I'm betting on a much lower stock price come next Thursday. Too bad, as I was really looking forward to getting the car.
July 13th VIN assignment and it's ready to be delivered so soon? That's excellent.
My VIN assignment was June 15th, and just got word today that the vehicle is fully built, and the next step is to transport it to Illinois. 6 weeks after my VIN assignment.

I had accepted a cancelled order out of Houston, so that's why I'm getting it sooner.

Back in the good old days of the early spring, the VIN to delivery seemed to be running about 2-3 weeks. Hopefully, they'll get back to those timelines as 6-8 weeks or more just doesn't seem worth giving out a VIN in the first place.

I'm sure Lucid would love to get to a 2-3 week turn around time. Of course as long as quality doesn't suffer. I do think they'll get there.
I got mine back then in 2-3 weeks after VIN, then some factory injury causing union strike and then wiring harness recall, PDI reform and some warehouse fire. I hope the assembly line is smoother now. Just saw ad today they are interviewing to add initiate 2nd and 3rd assembly line shifts. Things should move faster with this new 2 new big shots hired from Mercedes Benz and first generation Tesla last week.

As VP of the supply chain, Evelyn was responsible for the organization and processes for sourcing and procurement of 2,000+ parts, planning and management of $16 Million inventory, and master scheduling and production control for 2 plants.

VP of Global Logistics, Ludwig will provide strategic and operational leadership to actively develop and implement best practices in automotive logistics and parts management, focusing on supplier capacity management, inbound and outbound logistics, launch and change management, material planning, material handling engineering, and data management.

Spoke to my DA this morning. Paperwork (registration, proof of insurance, etc) was all signed today and forwarded to Lucid via overnight delivery, payment made earlier in the week, and the car is almost ready for home delivery out of Houston with home delivery schedule TBD. He said the final step on my car was being done today, an all day software update. He also mentioned he was going to a DA meeting...he didn't say if it was company wide.

I will give him a call tomorrow for an update.
Received a returned call this morning. The countdown begins. Home Delivery is scheduled for Friday, August 5

I’m not so sure first generation Tesla people are that great tbh. The first generation Teslas were the worst built weren’t they?

Got assigned a canceled Houston order 1 week ago but no Idea when delivery is. I’d like my car considering I got my original VIN back in mid May. Although I’m anxious to get it, I’m also nervous. I’d prefer they take their time and give me something good instead of something rushed

Home Delivery moved up to tomorrow, Wednesday Aug 3 about 2 hours before the Earnings Call. Associate flying into TX from CA to explain the vehicle. Squeezing in one more delivery before the conference call, wonder if there is a push for more with deliveries being made on the 3rd.

Part of me thinks they delayed a lot of cars to be for next quarter because they know they missed this one but if they deliver a bunch suddenly for next quarter they can say “look at all these cars we’ve delivered!”

I can't imagine delivery numbers by the day of the call matter much. Deliveries before the end of the quarter were more important. Unless they try to make the case that "We've already delivered X this quarter" as a way to show a ramp of some sort. Who knows? My guess is they will focus more on production than delivery, as they have in the past.

Their little push with the media to get reviews out seems to be hiking the stock up a bit just before the call (and subsequent drop), so someone over there knows what they are doing.
